    I think he means "optimist"...but says posimist (as in positive) instead. I don't think he could come up with the correct word, so he just made one up instead. Every time I listen to that boot, I just kinda shake my head because Ed kinda sounds like an idiot...when he's normally so well spoken.

    Ed said something like "They say we're possomists." (according to you people...)

    Why would people be saying the members and fans of Pearl Jam are optimists? Pearl Jam's music sounds pretty negative to me. I would've thought people would say they're pessimists and so Ed then said "Fuck the pessimists," meaning they aren't pessimists and then elaborating with his "dreams can be realized" comment. Possomists makes no sense.

    No its like saying....there are pessimists-people who are negative
    optimists-people who are positive
    possomists-people who are indifferent and play dead. Try to forget all of what is going on.

    its liek saying we are eternally people who pretend that not all is well or terrible....just that we exist. And we will try to ignore some of the overwhelming negativity and the outrageously positive.
