My friend was going to see Eddie last night. Since he was in Vegas, I gave him 5 Grand to gamble with. I told him I wanted it all to go on Black. Bastard! PhillyCrownOfThorns-11-2-12

Hello. My husband and I are considering this for a weekend get-away. We've never been to the benefit before and don't know what to expect. Can anyone tell me a little about the performance? I'm hearing that it's somewhat accoustic. But is it a full set both nights? Just not sure and would like to have someone tell me what occurred in the past. Thanks!

No full set, PJ will be one of eight (or maybe nine) acts and will play for 35-45 minutes only. But don't be scared away by that, you will not regret going, it is a tremendous experience. I went to my first one in 2003 to see PJ, and have returned every year since, PJ or no.

there's another recent thread you can find that gives some details about the show, logistics, tickets...

this is all from a poor memory and i haven't been since 06 so i'm sure people will correct me but...

it's a 2 day event with about 10+ artists each day...all acoustic and each artist gets 30-40 minutes or so...saturday starts 3 and ends after 11...sunday 2 to 10ish...all the students of the school are on stage throughout the event...neil comes out first and plays a couple songs so make sure to get there early...and neil finishes the show with a set and then everyone comes out for one final song

Shaking the dust off of my posting acitivty here....

I am 99% sure i will be there for Bridge so i can certainly assist with pre-party activity on Sat (and Sun if we feel inclined). I can call in to The Sports Page bar where we held our last Fund raising gig in 2006 if you would like. Laura, drop me a Pm and let's chat (and catch up).

True story....it's Hawaii 2006 and I meet Eddie V on the beach a couple of days before the U2 show. I have a camera around my neck, but never take it off. instead, I am in awe that i am talking to the man. In the midst of that brief conversation i mention that i am (was) a part of the Wishlist foundation and we raised some good money earlier that week and also for Bridge.

He turned to his lady friend (Fiance') and then asked if that was us at that sports bar near the venue?

    I was like...uhhh, yeah?! Why?!

He said, "We were going to stop by to thank you cuz we were right there but we were told to arrive at a certain time and it would throw us off."

    "WHHHAAAAA???" I thought in amazement.

He said, "what you guys do is amazing and we thought it would be fun to stop by. Thank you for your efforts!"

Now, I am not saying that having it at the same place may make for an Eddie visit, i AM saying the Wishlist RAWKS it and i will be there to lend my support if at all possible.

    Cheers!
