Can someone remind me again, what is used to make the electic guitar sound acoustic in the beginning of daughter.

    I think Stone may actually use an acoustic in that song.

    When Stone plays his electric on Daughter live (it's acoustic on the CD), he uses an acoustic guitar effect pedal....

    on the record stone used an acoustic.

    for all tours until 2003, he used an electric with an acoustic effect.

    2003 tour he used an acoustic.

    Actually, I think Stone still used the Fishman Strat for the 2003 tour on Daughter. He did use a Taylor acoustic on a lot of stuff, like Black and Thin Air, but I think Daughter has been played on that Fishman-equipped Strat with the FX pedal, that he just got used to playing it that way. I could be wrong, though...
    ...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.
