  • Tokyo 03...great, clear sound (like all the japan boots...but sometimes I miss the audience) and Eddies voice is at it's best...I remember my girlfriend crying to it when she visited me once being sad and upset about something, so for her to relax I put in the boot and she let it loose when they let it loose..."Let it loose" is also a great Stones Song (Exile on Main St., 1972), I love this song...

The best live version of Release is from KC 03....in the middle of an all out downpour, rain drops the size of golfballs, thunderstorm, lighting and all, they come out and bust Release...right as Ed sings "oh dear dad" a huge lighting bolt hits and Ed goes "Hi dad" than right back to the lyrics.....incredible moment

You took the words right out of my mouth. Hands down my favorite version of "Release," kicking off one of the most searing, intense shows of the year. Short but unrepentantly sweet.

    My favourite version as well.

I was very happy that they opened the Arnhem show on 2006-08-29, where I was with release, an emotional moment for me, and so far the only 2006 europe gig where they played release!

same Arnhem experience!:) it was a completely unforgettable open for me at the 1st row...my all time fav PJ song...I couldn't believe I got the real thing in the first 5 minute of the show:) they could have played anything...nothing would have fucked up my show after that!!!

I'm partial to that one, too... my first, long awaited, live Release.
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

Favorite I've seen was Boston 04.
  • The SF III ´06 version blows me away, but I think the seattle ´00 has a special feeling to it
Run away my son. See it all. Oh see the world.
  • Tivoli Gardens March 4, 1992 is one my personal favorites. Kinda weird that no one mentions the older versions. That's just my little opinion though.
