I love this album...pumped to be going to the first show of the tour this THU.
It would be great to hear how the setlist goes if you don't mind reporting back.  I'm going to Saturday's show.  I'm assuming a heavy dose of Brighten and hopefully a few Boggy, DT and AIC songs sprinkled in.  Should be a good one.

Will do. I don't know that I've ever been to the first show of a tour since setlists became so findable. I'm kinda excited to have  no idea what's coming (since I usually can't resist looking...).  I would be content if he played all of Brighten. I honestly don't have the first clue what AIC songs he'd be most likely to play but I agree that he'll at least hit a couple.

Awesome.  Thanks.  I know the setlist will be out there, but I'm reluctant to look because I don't know how much he'll mix it up, if at all.  I'm just more curious to hear the makeup of it in terms of how many non-Brighten songs make the cut and if they're more Boggy than DT concentrated, etc.  I definitely have a few on my wish list.  I think the AIC songs would be from Jar of Flies or Self-Titled, but like you, I'm clueless on what to expect.

I am not going to be able to make it to see him, but I would love to see a live version of She Was My Girl off of DT.

It was a good show. The opener wasn't as loud and this was my first indoor show since pre-covid. Took me at least two songs to get used to.

He pulled off a great math anomaly for me...played six of nine from Brighten and missed my three favorites! But it was lots of fun. Good mix of songs. I was surprised at the weight that the extra singer carried, particularly for "Jerry" (as opposed to AIC) songs. But it was great.

shit, that's a LOT of AIC. I was actually hoping for more than 2 off DT. a double album FFS. But I'm still looking forward to it.

Yeah way too many AIC songs. He has 3 solo albums and one is a double - plenty of material. If I wanted to see AIC songs, I'd go to an AIC show.

I tend to agree. I know the AIC stuff is more well-known but he's got a lot of his own material. Ultimately, I'd like to have seen about three of those come off in favor of three of his.

That said, it was still awesome, even if he, like all these other jerk musicians, won't let me create what would be the perfect setlist.  You should enjoy the show immensely.

If there’s one AIC sing I’d love to hear, it’s Killer Is Me. He did lead vocals on it anyway. Wonder if they ever recorded it with Layne.

I agree with some of the comments above.  Too many AIC songs.  His solo albums are so good his show should be all solo material.  Can't believe only two songs from DT.  I'd still go if he was coming somewhere closer to me.

last one is my favorite, Psychotic Break. I remember seeing him on this tour like 20 years ago and he opened with this song, love it. But I agree with y'all, too many AiC covers, he should knock it down to like 5-6 instead of ten.

I think my signed copy is now clearing customs in Ontario.   Still not sure what happened to the copy I bought directly from Jerry Cantrell's website.

fun show last night. Although at times when he was doing the AiC songs it almost felt like I was listening to a tribute/cover band doing them. I Guess mainly cause they had the extra singer there, he was pretty good though. They did play for the first time Black Hearts and Evil Done. We also got It Ain't Like That.

Show was GREAT - I do wish he played more from Degradation Trip, that record has so many good songs. The sound in the venue was really good too, but it was pretty packed in and tough to see the stage from where we were standing,.

Poster for the Boston show was OK, I didn't get it. Didn't get a close look but I remember it had a lot of green and black.

They did have a tour edition of the Brighten record in pink/red which I got. Kinda sucks carrying that around at a show!

Too many! I wish they'd just stick with 1 or 2.
Have you seen number the RHCP variations of the new record?!

I say more the better! It's not like you need to buy all of them. More options the better.

But some people will feel the need to buy them all - thus a cash grab for the artist.
