Yes, the hotel definitely had knowledge of the posters. Here is an update, I have been in contact with the Ten Club and they are replacing the missing poster and my other damaged one. Thank you so much Ten Club.
Many lessons learned here. Hand carry next time. Also, the collapsable poster tube sounds like a very good idea or PVC pipe. Clearly in my case the cardboard tube was jammed in some kind of machinery or vehicle and was crushed. How that is related to the loss of the poster is a mystery.
Ohanafest rocked! It is very well organized event and Dana Point is beautiful. If the event happens next year try to get there!

This reminds me of being in high school, and the pizza truck that parked outside at lunch time now and then, and if you got a slice EVERYONE wanted a bite, so a lot of people would get their slice and immediately, making sure everyone could see, lick the top of the entire slice. Which if you think about how much oil is often there, yuck, but it was effective. No one wanted a bite.

I love this! There are times a conversation veers "somewhat away from topic", and then there are times when it goes thoroughly & completely OFF-topic. Glad good people win in the end!! I had an Emek Edmonton AP lost/stolen and then recovered sent USPS. Poster tube was crushed, but just in the space above the rolled poster. Seems workers when caught or case opened, like to cover their tracks by crushing the tube.
Always send insured if above $300.
