This is a fantastic idea. Easy way to generate some extra cash for the band too! Win-Win for fans and the band.

There are quite a few of us that can't travel that far after the school year starts due to various reasons, or just can't travel that far in general. Having those shows livestreamed would at least take away a bit of the sting of not being there.

There's also something different about watching a stream live.  Sure it's not like being there in person, but it feels a little more like watching live sports because you don't know what's going to happen next.  I know this typically isn't PJ's thing, but it would be pretty fun for fans to watch as no one has had a live PJ experience in a while.

1000%.  I have yet to pay for the streams they released  - in some cases I was there, in other cases I am indifferent.  To watch an entire show and pay for it I would not want to know what is coming up -- I can youtube shows if I want to watch a PJ show.  Some people have nothing better to do with their time than make multi-camera versions for free.
If they did what OP suggests for an entire tour, I would probably pay for a third of them.  Totally would be different to be kind of experiencing the show along with friends at the show.

They could host their own streaming experience in pearljam.com @ some point and cash in on those $$$ (which will be spent!). Just sayin. :)

  • Lollapalooza teamed up with Hulu. No reason Pearl Jam can't team up with Nugs or someone else to stream these shows.

I hope they go with an outlet more reliable than Nugs but I'll take whatever I can get.

  • DMB airing shows live on SiriusXM. No reason Pearl Jam can't do the same.

It makes too much sense to live stream these shows. That's why I know they won't do it.

I don’t have Nugs, but if they do this I will almost certainly be getting it.
