Crazy Mary live - No Victoria?

I was listening to the first time PJ ever played "Crazy Mary" live, it was in New Orleans, I believe 1993, and it was with Victoria Williams. She and Ed traded verses, and it was beautiful. So, I began to think, how come after all these years and the numerous times they have played it live, they didn't bring Victoria out. I'm sure schedule conflicts are to blame, but wouldn't it be nice to have a nice 10 min version with her?

If she passed away, I was not aware and I feel awful about posting this.

Sorry!! I had my facts mixed up, I apologize...

She continues to tour regularly with her husband Mark Olson, formerly of the band The Jayhawks, under the name of the Original Harmony Ridge Creekdippers; they have produced seven records, mostly of Olson's intricate compositions.

Yeah sorry about that. For some strange reason I thought she had but maybe I was thinking of someone else.

She had a terrible disease, I think it was MS, and was crippling her music career. Hence, the 'Sweet Relief' CD that Crazy Mary was on..

    She didn't die though.

Crazy Mary was on the Sweet Relief compilation benefit album. First time it was played was in Hollywood in May 1992, with the second time not coming until September 6, 1993, in Portland. The Portland show - my first Pearl Jam show - was the only time they played it with Victoria Williams.

I remember it well: Blind Melon opened, followed by Pearl Jam (with V. Williams on Crazy Mary) and then Neil Young with Booker T. & the MGs (with PJ joining at the end for RITFW). Not a bad first show if you ask me!

11/17/93 - UNO Lakefront Arena: New Orleans, LA [100m]

notes: Ed sings a snippet of 'Crazy Mary' after 'Garden' ... a precursor to Victoria Williams joining PJ for 'Crazy Mary' with producer Brendan O'Brien on keyboards later.

I was responding to the first post ("the first time PJ ever played ..."). I should have said that the FIRST time they played CM w/ VW, not the ONLY time ...

    My bad.
