Earth Day 2021
News April 21 2021

As we have seen over the course of the past few years, climate change and extreme weather events have begun to wreak havoc for society. This is why Pearl Jam has devoted April as Earth Month, to bring awareness to the devastating changes that are taking hold of our planet, and the solutions that we can take to alleviate this problem.

Each year since 1970, Earth Day has been celebrated as the largest modern environmental movement. Inspired by the Santa Barbara oil spill and the anti-war movement of the 1960’s, the late Junior Senator Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin sought out to incorporate the energy of activism with public awareness on the effects of pollution to our health and planet. We now benefit from environmental protections as a result of Earth Day.

Our planet has changed a lot since the first Earth Day, and there is still work to be done. Check out these Earth Day resources and learn how you can make a difference.
