Test Press Questions

This year I've gotten a few Pearl Jam or Pearl Jam related test presses. Does anyone know how many test presses are usually made for a major label/band such as pj release? I collect things from the hardcore/punk world where 4-12 is the standard

I have:
Single Soundtrack Test Press (2016 reissue)
Mother Love Bone This Is Shangrila 12"
Pearl Jam 10 Box Set Sampler Set  3x7" (I was told maybe 10-12 were made of these)

    Depends on what the artist or management want. Usually a Test Pressing yields only a handful of copies (for as many people who need to put ears on it to make sure it sounds good). Sometimes they run upwards of 100 (some bands sell these). My guess is PJ only ask for a few.

    I have the Shanghai-La test pressing as well. I found it at a Goodwill. I see them come up for sale on auction sites fairly often.

    The regular box set sampler is super-rare as it is. That's gotta be a goldmine by itself.

    What punk hc test p do you have? Ive got the verbal assault learn one. Got it back in the day prob for ten bucks. Didnt know anything about tp back then. Just got it to spin and still do.

    I have Insted "Bonds of Friendship" LP test press and some smaller local bands but that's all for test presses.
     I collect mainly revelation records late 80's stuff (because early Dischord and Misfits vinyl is $$$$$$)
    I'd buy that verbal assault test from you!

    Nice. Half the fun is hunting. Been getting some of my stuff signed too. I find most rockers I like are happy someone still cares about them!

    Priceless to me but surely will end up in the trash someday. Hope not.
