Anyone watch Curse of Oak Island?

I've really enjoyed watching this show, but this new season is off to a slow start. Stop dragging it on! Anyway, just curious what people think. Personally, I just think there are a lot natural voids under the island and they aren't going to find anything of any significance. But the show seems to imply they will.

    Never seen Moonshiners.

Last night was another episode with nothing from the island. I am a sucker.

We love it. Been watching since I think season 2. Did feel like last night was a bit of a bait and switch with the 90 foot stone, but enjoyed it nonetheless. We always joke "I heard this is the week they find the treasure." The chase and the history is enjoyable enough on its own. Good, fun TV on a Tuesday night.

I agree. I think this season though is going to push our patience. I think the show includes a lot of comments from Rick Lagina inferring that the activity is more about understanding the history versus the treasure (trying to keep us all watching even though they never find anything of significance).

I love the show! It is almost as good as Ice Road Truckers and Ancient Aliens on the History Channel. The anticipation is great!

If they ever found anything of significance don't you think we'd hear about it before the airing of the show? I understand still watching it for the entertainment/history of it.

Completely agree. Pretty certain it would be tough to keep "the holy grail" under wraps if they found it.

Alright, new season tonight.  Anyone gonna give this show another chance?  At best they find some cool artifacts, but they'll never find any treasure.

I watch.  My wife says it puts her to sleep.  I knew of the story before the show started, so I've always been a little intrigued by the prospects of someone with money being able to dig there.  They've found some pretty interesting things already, IMO.  Nothing crazy, but still cool finds for a place in that area of the world.  I've been looking forward to this season, as I think the new hole they chose last season has some promise.

Still not sure what to think of that one guy that owns an adjacent island.  He's half crazy Indiana Jones and half snake oil salesman.

We have the new episode on the DVR. I fully expect this is the week they find the treasure and all is revealed. I'm sure I won't be disappointed at all.

Haha.  It takes about 2 minutes to cover all the items they have found on the island and they repeat it every week.

You aren't the only one.  Gets great ratings.  Most episodes are entertaining enough but they probably need to go scorched earth on the money pit at some point.

“Wood?   In the money pit?   Treasure hunter Dan Blankenship in 1968 believed there was a wooden chest...”

That is my best impression of the narrator.  You could play a drinking game to how many times he repeats what they found and then the location in the form of a question.
