Wow. I don’t think it has ever been any less inspiring or unexciting to be a Pearl Jam fan. Eddie pretty much does everything he can to NOT do shows with the rest of the guys.  I know I’ll get bashed for this but this is just one huge yawn for me.  I’m glad there’s so much fresh, exciting stuff in the music world with the up and comers, because this is just starting to get sad.

  • It would be super preferable if any other dates were announced in time to decide whether to plan on this one.  An overseas trip for one show doesn't make much sense but if there are several that's a different story.
PJ: 2013: London (ON); Buffalo; 2014: Cincinnati; 2016: Sunrise, Miami, Toronto 1-2, Wrigley 2; 2018: London (UK) 1, Milan, Padova, Sea 2, Wrigley 1-2, Fenway 1-2; 2021: SHN, Ohana, Ohana Encore 1-2; 2022: LA 1-2, Phx, Oak 1-2, Fresno, Copenhagen, Hyde Park 1-2; Quebec, Ottawa, Hamilton, Toronto; MSG, Camden, Nashville, Louisville, St. Louis, OKC; 2023: St. Paul 1-2, Chicago 1-2; Fort Worth 2; Austin 1-2

EV Solo: 2017 Louisville and Franklin, 2018 Ohana, 2019 Innings Fest, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Dublin and Ohana; 2021 Ohana Friday (from beach) and Saturday; 2022 Earthlings Newark; 2023 Innings Fest and Benoraya 1-2.

  • Unfortunately it's a pass from me.
Wembley stadium is the absolute worst for gigs, the sound is terrible, and as main support you know people will be talking all through his set.
Fingers crossed for some other solo dates

Wembley stadium is where live aid was held, the freddie mercury tribute concert, and it's the national football stadium. My football team (soccer) has been playing there for 2 seasons whilst our new stadium is being built and I refuse to go as I hate it so much. I have a season ticket and get the money back for each game rather than going. It sucks the atmosphere out of football matches and is a bitch to get to.
TBH I'm not really a fan of Wembley arena either. O2 is the only decent indoor arena in London

The Wembley Stadium where Live Aid and Freddie Mercury tribute were held was torn down in the early 2000's. They built a whole new one on top of it.

Can't say about the sound as I've only been there for football but it's a huge stadium 80000 plus so you'll probably be watching on a screen. Think I'll only be going if there are no regular shows

Ed seems to be doing everything he can to avoid working with PJ. Hopefully he finds some time to meet with them and record songs this year.

    As always:

I‘d go if this is a one-off show. I‘d prefer any other show in Europe, if there is one.

Problem is, tickets are gone for this one before we know about possible other shows.

So Dimi ... will you use your passport for this one? Will you shelve it for the year afterwards or use it for continous travel? ;-)

Ah man, I'm in the same boat. Whilst I'd love to do this show, I'd hate to miss out on a EV headlining show at a smaller venue

It would be great to know if other dates are planned. For those who can only do one or two shows, we need to choose wisely!

But it's really great to have EV back in Europe so soon!

Wembley stadium isn’t the best sound wise, especially if your up in the top tier, it’s just so big, seen muse(seating) and foos(standing) and neither were brilliant.

ill go if I can tickets but just get as close as poss.
