2019 Concert possibilities

Hi, I am hoping for another US tour in 2019. I have a crummy diagnosis of an incurable cancer and am waiting for the life expectancy prognosis. So being selfish, I would love to see them one more time!  I would love to know if I should look forward to seeing PJ again, sooner than not at all!!!!
If not, I had a great run in 2018 and saw PJ in Seattle and Chicago. I know I am being greedy but he’ll, I would really love to see them one more time!

love you guys,
kay

So sorry about this. Stay positive. You are not being greedy at all trying to get another show in. I think many of us would do the same. I am really hoping your prognosis is better than expected.

It's OK to be selfish - even necessary at times.

I hope you get that wish, and many other wishes I imagine you have as well.

Thank you all for your support , prayers and positive thoughts. I will gladly take all good the good juju that comes my way. The PJ fans are an incredible group! I am definitely hoping for another tour that includes the US. I’m in Colorado and they rarely come here. However, I have a 26 year old daughter who also loves PJ (that’s what my kids grew up listening to) who travels with me whenever I ask.
So even though I may have some major challenges coming up I am going to focus on the good. Thank you all for giving me the gift of your time and positive comments.

It is not PJ but did you know Eddie Vedder is doing a solo show 1a couple states over from you? It could be a long drive depending where you live but If you have not seen him solo it is an amazing show and I would highly recommend you go! Keep us updated on your health and travels.

    Cheers Jeff

I just emailed them to see if they have handicap seating that I can afford. Thank you for the suggestion! I do think seeing just EV would be amazing too!

I searched the website too and could only find an email for contacting for more info. Is this the one you emailed?

Also there are some fans from the area in this post that you may want to reach out to as they maybe able to help you with logistics and any info on the venue/ADA seating that the venue does not answer.

There are options for VIP seats for single day tickets that are $250+ but they do have a layaway option and if you can't afford it. I am sure you will find some helpful members on this board too if you do make the trip.

I've been hearing rumblings about Woodstock.  I hope that isn't true...

Just be happy there’s any rumblings at all.  We need to change our perspective collectively as fans and be happy when they play.
I'm like an opening band for your mom.

Sending you lots of love, prayers and positive vibes!  I’m hoping you get to see them this year!  My gut feeling is...I’m not sure about a US tour but i feel like they will do a festival or 2.  This is based on nothing but just my gut instinct which could be totally wrong.  I don’t think they’ll do a big tour until their new album is released.  Like someone said before you could see Eddie at the innings fest and he will do his Ohana fest in September.

Wishing you all all the best.  Praying you’re surrounded by positive people every day!  No matter what the doctors tell you, if you don’t like what they have to say there are always other options, get a second opinion etc.  XOXO and all the best!

Hi my PJ friends, I thought I would give you an update. I am still seeing different docs, even traveling to other states to see these specialists in rare diseases who have not been able to give a definitive diagnosis yet. Life is strange though, the way it works out sometimes. I am 51 and my mom has been gone for almost 30 years and my father 11 years. I have been out on sick leave since December. Coincidentally, my father in law was sent home around Thanksgiving with less than 6 months to live. We lost him on the 29th of April. If I had not gotten sick, I would have never had these last 5 months with him. My husband and I live a couple of blocks away from his folks and it made it very easy to spend as much time as possible with him. With us both being ill we were great company to each other. Before he passed I was able to thank him for being a great father to me, raising my husband, who is not only wonderful but looks an awful lot like EV, and the best pops ever to our children. RIP Pops, I miss you already.
I still don’t know what my future holds.....hopefully someone soon will figure it out! If not, I have had a good run. I am still really hoping to see PJ one more time! Send thoughts to them for a Red Rocks show...I live a couple of miles from there and I do not know of a better venue, despite its small size. They could probably fill the place for as many nights as they would like to play!
I really do appreciate the forum here. We all have at least a few things in common and the community is pretty respectful and supportive. I have not gone to the online support groups for ill people. I don’t know if it’s my own denial or you all are just too awesome! So, you are my occasional go to when I am struggling. We all have a happy place where PJ music is a must. I highly doubt I will ever meet Eddie or any of the group, but I can always talk my husband into wearing a flannel shirt and lip syncing! Gotta take the good stuff in front of you and hang on tight because no one is guaranteed a tomorrow.

    thx much,
    k

Thank you, I will gladly take any positive vibes I can get. I am often surprised by, but also truly appreciate, how kind people are here. For now, all I can do is Just Breath. I should receive some test results tomorrow and then travel with my daughter to Arizona next weekend to see a new specialist Monday morning. Fingers crossed!!!! PJ will of course be along for the ride. I don’t go anywhere without my good headphones and iPad or iPhone. Gotta have my music!

Healing thoughts go out to you Kay.  Stay positive...AZ has some excellent doctors. My sister worked in health care there for years before going to northern colo.  I would LOVE a red rocks show! Saw Tom Petty there many years ago. Have a safe road trip.

I hope you get to see our band like immediately! I know how u feel. I lost my dad February last year, when I flew out to Wrigley for the 8/20 show I was watching Rain in the rain thinking about my dad. That was the closest thing to closure I've had.
    Love and healthy thoughts!
