Does Siri Understand "Pearl Jam"?

Got my mom a new Apple TV for christmas. And when installing all the apps and stuff for my mom, I tried out Siri so I could show my mom later how easy it is using voice commands.

So I tried out "Pearl Jam". But however I say it, it comes out as"Parole Jam".

I have a swedish accent and all.... but still...

Does your Siri understand "Pearl Jam"? Or is this some Silicon Valley Nickelback-bias at play?

i've never had a problem.  the biggest issue with Siri is latency.  i.e. you hit the Siri button and theres no guarantee that she will come up right away.  so sometimes i start talking before she's listening and then she only gets the last part of what i said.  this has been a problem since the beginning and apple really has done very little to fix it.

We Talked about some android-tv variants But ended up with Apple being the most Easy and were trying to get mom to use iTunes instead of going to the videostore.

But a android variant would be like half the price. Haha.

I really can’t stand any of that “Siri do this” / “Alexa do that” nonsense. Technology makes people so lazy these days.

If your looking for apple exclusive content or locked in the apple prison  sure. For me the $30 roku was well worth the price and very easy to setup/use.

FWIW I use ipad, ipod and note 9. Love all, but the new android os is off the charts best mobile os I've  used.

Just checked, all of my iDevices recognize my PJ requests.
  • This is my favorite band but it's ridiculous how tough it is for me to say the name with my Indian accent, and have it be understood by American humans, let alone robots!

It's the way Americans roll their 'R's I think.
