Please Pearl Jam, don't let go to waste the music for Bu$hleaguer

Well, I remember something about ten years ago (I think it was in the old forum board) posting a thread discussing the odds of PJ ever playing Bu$hleaguer again... It was last played in 2007 in London, UK. Now, let me say I always liked this song mainly for its music; yeah, the main chord progression is basically stolen from the Ramones, but the alternate B tuning with the capo and that low B string gave that progression a whole new feel. And I love the soloing Mike does at the beginning over it, especially live where that part was extended a little more, I wished he would go on forever. The chorus (still relevant today than ever anyway) is great. The outro part is dark and atmospheric with that arpeggiato groove from Stone and that beautiful noise effect from Mike. I could go on about the things I love in this song, but you got my point, I think.
Now, I also know this is not by any means a song that most people on here love. All the opposite, I'm sure. But I don't care.
I also know the chance of Pearl Jam playing it again (in its original form, at least) is close to zero. I get it.
But please, please, consider resuming the music of this song at some point in the near future. Eddie doesn't have to sing lyrics to it. Just let Mike and Stone do their things while you rest your voice at future live shows. It would be a beautiful thing. Just the music. Or write some new lyrics for the verses, whatever. Like I said before, at least the chorus line is not outdated at all, and it really sounded great live, even better than the studio version.
That's all I had to say today, after spinning a good dose of Riot Act today.

One my favorite songs off Riot Act.  I think we have a less of a chance of getting ARC than anything else.  I hope to one day hear BU$HLEAGuER live, but I do realize how special that would be to get that on a non Riot Act tour.

Was hoping for this to show up this year with some possible alternate lyrics

I love the song. They could easily change up the lyrics. Hell, Ed does it unintentionally all the time.

Only seen PJ two times, both in 2006. One of them was Bologna, and this song along with Alone and Indifference were the highlights for me. Oh well, at least I got to listen to it live once.

I really thought that they would bring it back in the age of Trump. Maybe Trumpleaguer for Christmas single?

A reworked version for the holiday single would be great.
  • Let's hope Eddie at least brings out the legendary $PARKLELEAGUER jacket at some point in the future.

I would seriously be on board for that. Unfortunately, the boys don't contact me for ideas.
