Due to his 8pm set time, I wonder if EV will play for longer than he has in prior years at Ohana.

Hasn't he always gone on right around 8 or a few minutes after? If I recall correctly, the first year he was only supposed to play until 9:30pm but last year he played right up until 10pm.

last year was rushed, killed the vibe a little as you start expecting it to end at any moment, would rather not know myself

When do we get a tease of the merch and show poster?
Hopefully the merch craze of the tour doesn't create some overspill of the Ohana merch.  In the past it's been super easy to get to.  Plenty of posters/stickers/shirts to go around.  I think zippos sold out fast but everything else was available through mid Sat at least and the lines were not crazy.  I think I waited about 15 minutes for a shirt and sticker.

Any predictions as to with whom Eddie will perform during Ohana weekend?

I am guessing John Doe on Friday (an obvious choice),and hopefully Johhny Marr and Liz Phair on Saturday.

I’d add Beck and maybe Mumford on Sunday.

Hey, if you haven't yet looked at the venue info, I suggest doing so. In particular, check out bag and purse restrictions.

Is there any realistic way for an out of towner to take public transportation?

Make sure you read the email that was sent out today regarding the festival......it mentions that there is no onsite parking.

It also shows what is allowed into the festival......very restrictive policies so be prepared!

Will be in the area with wife, 6 year old and 3 year old. I know it’s a family friendly festival but i’m Hesitant to try it with a 6 year old and 3 year old.

For those that have been before....

Is this the type of festival where you lay down your blanket and that’s your spot for the day?
Or is GA more of a “you leave your spot...don’t expect to get it back” type of situation.

Are there often families with young kids there?

A day at Doheny beach and and evening watching Eddie with my family could either be the best day of my life...or a stressful experience that flops.

Would really appreciate any info, there will be other opportunities to see Eddie but To see him with my wife and kids might be a once in a lifetime chance.

    Cheers

you can bring a blanket and create your own spot till about 5 pm. Then they will come around and ask you to please pick it up. As the crowds come in and push to the front you can stay to the side and be fine with your family. Or there are grandstands, even better. Its very very special, I would try to make it if I were you.
