i only live an hour and a half away ,but am not going,i went to usa this tour and have tix for barca and paris and think i should really go to reading .
but the thought of standing around,<sober> all day because i will have to drive and will go on my own,then watch a load of shit bands untill pj last thing.

    But it's a tough one if you're going on yer own though. There are quite a few people here going - try and get in with some of them and it will make it a bit better. But as somebody said before 'they've only regretted the concerts they haven't gone to' - makes sense to me.

    i had tickets but had em refunded by mean fiddler (yeah yeah yeahs pulled out)

    for exactly the reasons you give
    - stand around all day listen to slayer and a load of other crap (for 70 quid!!!) PLUS
    -(stale hamburgers at £5 a go)
    -(flat beer...etc etc.)

    but then I also live in ireland so not quite the half hour down the road....:-)
