Was Ed THAT drunk in Chicago on 5/17?

Or did they mix Last Kiss wrong or did Ed's ears stop working for a few minutes or what? I'm listening to the boot right now and goodness gracious....Last Kiss is awful. I mean, I've heard him fuck up his share of songs and almost every time it's funny and endearing. I even witnessed Last Kiss in Vegas 2003 where he completely fucked up the entire song and even tried to blame it on the crowd....one of my favorite versions.

But night two in Chicago was different. He was completely off beat for the entire song....the entire song. Anyone else hear that yet? It's seriously as if he couldn't hear the music or something. Btw, I'm not bitching, just pointing it out because it's definitely not normal and wondering what you guys think about it.

He was standing at the soundboard during the song as you can see here:

I guess it had something to do with a relayed monitor sound or he even did it without monitors which is pretty difficult I think. He also had mic dropouts that didn't helped.

wasn't his fault, some technical shit. i wonder if they soundcheck ed singing 300 feet away from the band. it was still a pretty cool moment. i think he had 2 bottles of wine night 1.
