Looks like i got my ticket for night 1 in Boston and just coming down for Sunday and will have to get back down to NYC on Monday. Looking around at Airbnb and hostels. Any recommandations? Hi Boston seems like it will probably be the winner in my research but even that ends up being 75$ a night... pretty high for a hostel.

Pack a tent and camp out on a Harbor Island (http://www.bostonharborislands.org/campground-reservations).

You'd have to get a water taxi to drop you off after the show, though, due to the late hour.

Porter square hotel. $160 a night and it's right across from a red line subway station. 5 miles from center City. Other hotels that close are over $250. I did hear about the camping on a Boston podcast. That honestly may be the best bet.

Yeah I like the idea of camping but i don't really wanna bring along my camping gear as it's just a quick trip so i'll probably just stay at the Hostel.

Probably your best bet if you want to keep it cheap. Boston is insanely expensive (unless you have a car and can drive west an hour), and $75 for a hostel would be a deal for me lol

Its also Labor Day weekend aka college move in time. Normally expensive hotels have higher rates due to the influx of parents dropping their incoming freshmen off.
Nothing will be cheap for that weekend.
    This weekend we rock Portland

In 2016 I just went right to the bus station after the show and 2 hours later I was on the 1am bus back to NYC.

Super 8 motel in Watertown wasn't priced too bad.  That's where I ended up.  Before tax it was like $125 for a room with 2 beds which wasn't bad compared to some of the other places.  There's a busline to the Red Line right by the Super 8 and another busline that goes to Fenway that's like a 5-10min walk from the motel.  And yea the holiday weekend and college move-in crowds are filling up the hotels so they aren't offering many deals.

this seems like a great idea, have you / anyone been here before?  Safety, cleanliness?
