Does anyone know if there will be a merch table set up in the afternoon outside of Safeco? It might be nice to get my souvenirs and poster in the afternoon and be able to leave them in the hotel.
They'll probably do the merch truck they've been doing for the past number of years. At Wrigley they also had a tent set up. Still wasn't enough. The lineup lasted for hours and hours, and quite often they were sold out of what you wanted if you survived the lineup.
Heard a rumour on Facebook with someone that has an in with Safeco that they are starting on the 5th with the merch outside. Take that for what its worth as I have no clue how credible that person is though it would make sense looking back at 2016.

That will be nice for the GA people who want to try for the front row. It will give them something to look at for a few days. Lol
Wrigley 2016 they opened merch on Thursday @ the Metro. Show wasn't until Saturday. Due to large demand for these Stadium shows, I would guess that they will open a day or two in advance as well. Fenway was the same way as far as selling merch a day or two before the shows.

Fenway had 3 merch locations outside that were open the day before the first day until the end of day after the second show. I lined up at 1:30pm of the first show and I only waited about a hour and a half. Other then "the catch' poster I was able to purchase everything I wanted. The line went pretty smooth. I was able to purchase " the catch" once I got inside.

Not sure about the Ten Club merch, but Stone announced he will be having a table at Safeco featuring knickknacks from his basement. If you look closely you can see his Grammy in there.

,There was a landslide of baseball stadium merch in 2016. Lines were long, but merch was plentiful. Lots of merch ended up being sold on the website, including all 5 posters, hats, t-shirts, jerseys, pennants, tote bags, etc.
Wonder if they are going to cut back on merch this time around from 2016 like they did with Europe.
Why? they sold tons of stuff. Demand was high for the US tour and the stadium shows in 16. They knew the demand was there and produced enough for it. Not everything sold out, but enough did.

True I was thinking more along the lines of posters I guess. Should have stated that. Plenty of posters to be had 2 years later.

Doubtful. I'm surprised the Mark5 and Eaton are not more liked, but the other two Fenway speak for themselves. But the majority of them sold out for 2016 and before.
They underestimated demand for the summer Europe tour. Nothing more than that.

Fenway 2016 was a breeze (with the exception of the catch of course). I lined up early on the day in between the shows and got all i wanted (except the catch). Even inside had all the items. As long as there isn't an emek or crazy popular poster it'll all be fine.
I saw the Foo Fighters have an online Pop Up shop for their Wrigley show Merch this weekend, Will Call Pick up only. Looks like they are selling everything but the posters. I like this option....wish they did something like this for the home shows.

I was a huge fan of the pre-buy option in 2009. Totally get why that was scrapped though. An idea I've always liked was "Poster only" line. Kind of like "beer only" or "cash only" lines...........but for a poster

Foo Fighters did a pre-order for the vast majority of their Fenway merch and it was absolutely amazing. You ordered online and then picked it up at their pop-up shop.

I cannot for the life of me understand why this isn't emulated by the 10C. Aside from the GA line, this is the single biggest headache related to attending a show.

They did it in 2009. It was great not having to carry around a tube. I think there are a number of reasons.
I know they had a lot of leftover posters for sale on the site afterwards. My gut tells me there were a bunch of complaints about the merch since it was pre bought. That shouldn't shock anyone. Plus they shipped them out so thats additional cost and labor.

I got the catch that day. You line up late?
I was able to buy The Catch at one of the outside merch locations after night 1 last time and saw it still available multiple times over the next two days.

That's not what happened with the Foos at Fenway. You placed and paid for your order directly off their website - which included photos of everything - and then went to the shop to pick up the merch you wanted. No mailing was available - you had to physically come and collect your goods. I'm not sure it included posters, but it did include shirts and other apparel, and even a band set of bobbleheads.

This should produce about the same results as last time.
I'll wait for the day of show and get merch inside.
