Please do not play Porch and Even Flow in Missoula

Seeing that sometimes it may work for songs to be played  perhaps it will work to not hear certain ones as well. I don't hate these 2 songs but I've heard them at 89% of the shows I have attended. What would you like to NOT hear? Discuss...

I will never understand the hate for these songs.
They are great songs, great live, and I would rather hear them for the 20th time than many others for the first or second.
When I hear You Are I just think “man, they coulda played Porch”

Take a sec to read your post, because it comes across as REALLY rude and pretentious. Do you think the band is gonna stop playing what they want after 27 years together because of a post on a message board? How about if you don’t like what they may choose to play, you don’t go?

I will answer your question and say Last Kiss. Which was played during one of my favorite shows Greenville 16 (along with great versions of Porch and Evenflow). Did it lessen the energy or happiness I felt? No! Other fans were loving it and singing along.  So maybe there's a couple of songs that dont do it for you but there's thousands of other people that will totally enjoy hearing them. Based on their longevity and demand for tickets I think Eddie and Pearl Jam know how to create a setlist. Let them play what makes them happy and enjoy the ride. Or make millions and hire them to do  a private show that has just what you want and nothing else. Good luck.

Wow. Pretentious and rude. Really? It’s an opinion and I think I was straight forward with no animosity toward the band or the songs. Just a discussion. Easy snowflake

Even Flow kicks ass.  I would never ask them to not play it.  On the other hand, Yellow Moon is a snooze fest...

Well when you couple what you wrote with your avatar... it comes across as hostile, Ogilthorpe.

I'd take both those songs any concert. They're awesome.

I’ll consider changing the avatar to a unicorn if that helps lessen the hostility

90% of the audience wants to hear TEN in its entirety and 10% wants stuff from avocado.

I’ll take stuff from TEN any day.
  • I have no problem with them playing the staples at every show, but i do wish they would mix up the setlist slots they are in more as the encores for the most part have become predictable (onvs last night was killer, but that's not the norm).  And for the love of god jam more in porch and rvm!

That would be awesome! Honestly, if it opened the show I don't think anyone would complain. It's just always midset these days.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Well if you are in any way familiar with the "No Even Flow" shirt incident, you shouldn't have much of any confidence in this post.

There’s nothing better in the Pearl Jam world than bouncing around in a good pit during Even Flow. The one PJ hit that I never get tired of hearing. Mind Your Manners grew on me as well this tour.

  • asking the band  to not play a particular song is more annoying than asking the band to play a particular song..

Yeah, making a LIST of songs you don’t want to hear cause your sick of them is really respectful to the band. Who cares about all the fans who might want to hear those songs right?
I hope they do open with Evenflow, and Mike melts everyone’s faces off.
