We can debate whether $125 per ticket is worth it. We all know what their shows are like, how long they play, how much each changes. You wouldn't have a hard job convincing me that it is worth that price. Still, it's the increase from just two years ago that has me scratching my head today. I knew these shows were going to be more expensive. I just didn't think they were going to 30% more expensive.

It seems like alot based on past tours but it's not horrible. I'm happy to pay it. I just paid about the same price for Foo Fighter tickets thru ticketmaster after all there service fees/processing fees/ect. The nice thing here is we are not paying the Service fees and whatever else TM charges.

in 1994, they played shithole venues most of the time, and antiquated stadiums. Im sure some of the cost of doing business with major ballparks comes into play here.

Definitely the venues are a factor. Fenway is charging anywhere between $25-$45 per ticket in fees. That's just what I've seen for other shows this summer, too. There could be higher fees out there.

This year I have paid $293 for a pair of Taylor Swift (2nd level of a stadium), $236 for a pair of Foo Fighters Pit tickets (Amphitheatre), and $410 for a pair of floor tickets to Justin Timberlake (arena). So the ticket prices listed are on par with these other major acts touring this year.
And I know....one of those acts are not like the others. Guess who was my choice versus my wife's picks....
All of those will be fun shows though! Might want to bring noise cancelling headphones for TSwift

The venue sets the minimum price to rent out the facility. Id be willing to bet that is driving the increases. Either that or their goal of raising $10M in Seattle required higher prices and it would not be fair to just charge more in Seattle - imagine that backlash..
i think a lot of bands now include free copies of their albums with their tickets. Well, when touring for an album, anyway. DMB does this, U2 did this.
if i remember correctly they sued ticketbastard because they were a monopoly and could control/inflate ticket prices accordingly, because they didn't have any competition and even to this day their service charge to handle/process tickets is insane.
I find it strange that GA is the same as reserved. So at Wrigley I may pay the same price for shitty upper decks with my high number as someone in the front row with GA. Also last week I got 4 tickets for Elton John for $240, $42.50 before fees per ticket and that's a huge world class tour....

Then play more shows not play 6 and raise the price so drastically. I'm not saying I don't understand what they are doing and have every right to, but this seems like an extreme cash grab. Only stadiums, 7 shows, and nearly 40% more expensive. Just do an Elton John 300 show grand finale and spred it over 5 years and call it quits lol
It cost me $600 for two tix to Paul McCartney. Even more for two tickets to see Kevin Durant play basketball for two hours. A lame version of the lion king is $199 per ticket. Get real people.
