Patriots fans are kind of like the those ancient civilizations you read about.  You never knew they existed, and may likely never did prior to the Brady run. Then they came out of nowhere, were dominant for a short stretch, and will then disappear with out a trace once Brady retires,  never to be heard from again. National Geographic will run specials on how they just vanished. Like the Mayans.
Short stretch = LOL. Kids who born during their first super bowl win are graduating high school this year.

But the patriots have a better winning % then Pitt regular season and playoffs over an almost 60 year period?

The amount of hatred that the Patriots and Brady brings out of people is hilarious!  Don't worry, they are (probably) only going to be competing for the next 3-4 Super Bowls.  Then the rest of the league can have their fun.
Exactly, they hate us cause they ain't us!

I've met Brady a few times and he is one of the most obnoxious, cocky jerks I've ever encountered, and I've encountered some jerks!  His musical choices don't really mean much to me beyond illustrating how much someone can like a band and not have even a clue about what that band or their music is actually about... or maybe Brady just doesn't care what the music is about?  Either way, yuck.
    sure you have
What, you think it's that inconceivable that anyone here has met someone like him, and more than once?  Um, ok... doubt away.  You're a loyalist and that's your perogative.
Not at all...I bet many on here, like myself, have very quickly met him at all the Best Buddies events he runs every year; very plausible.  Just seemed a tad over the top label someone they've met a few times "the most obnoxious, cocky jerks I've ever encountered..."  Seemed like an OK guy to me, but I may have been blinded by his jewelry.
Wait, was he really wearing bling?  I don't remember any actual bling the times I met him.  I see your point, but I didn't just meet him in passing.  He is a music fan, when I lived in Boston we were at some of the same events.  He actually was nice to me, but I observed him being a prick to several people and several times there was a wave in the room of "Wow, that was f'ing obnoxious!" even if it wasn't directed at me or the people I was with.

It is what it is, I am sure he doesn't care at all what I think of him, but that's what I observed.

For the record though, there were a couple of times where there was down time (i.e. band neither onstage nor in green room) and he and his Patriots buddies would get bored and play games with a football - that was some impressive ish what they could do with a football when they were bored!  After that whenever I'd diss him, I'd have to qualify it with "but he's obviously a super talented player!" cuz there was no denying that.

Filming signals (from anywhere) was legal in 2004.  Your quarterback literally puked in the huddle and your coach struggled a bit with time management.

This years Eagles team is legit, even without Wentz.  Going to take a helluva game to beat them.

I've only been to three Philly shows, and aside from the June 28, 2008, Great Woods show, which was hotfire, they have been better than all the Boston area shows that I've attended going back to 2000. (Note: I'm leaving out the Fenway shows because those are likely clouded by sentiment.)

Has Eddie Vedder ever had to yell at anyone in a Philly audience to get up -- during "Fuckin' Up" no less? Or has he had to threaten a Philly audience with ending the show because assholes are throwing quarters at the stage?
