What communist designed this flag?
Red white blue and black.  A  Colored American like flag with 13 stripes which includes black and there are 35 stars on it.  What exactly is it supposed to mean?  Pearl Jam half ass American flag. I'm about done with this band fan of 26 years.  And Eddie has gone all corporate with a Citibank card holders only secret concert in San Francisco last month.
What do the 35 stars represent??

I think it's pretty cool looking. I didn't think it would trigger this many fans, though.
  • Sure do hope there’s a whole slew of old membership cancellations so I can move up the seniority ranks. Heaven forbid you support the arts.

Simultaneously "corporate" and "communist" - quite a feat.

It's art. In fact, it's a work of art in support of arts education, and I'm guessing that all the elements you mention have significance, just like the elements of your current US flag have a particular significance. Art is designed to make you think.

Also, I'll mention the obvious that the US flag has changed over time.

Next thing you know they'll be trying to make "Love Boat Captain" the National Anthem.  Damn hippie band!

But seriously, look, "All proceeds will go to the Vitalogy Foundation in support of ArtsCorps, a Seattle-based non-profit organization that works to address the race and income-based opportunity gap in access to arts education.  How cool!  Go PJ!

Lets take the Brazilian flag shall we, and we can add and or subtract colors, number of stars in the center circle as we choose.  A little modern art is all.
We can take a paint brush with the color red on it and add red to the Brazilian flag. Or maybe trade green for purple, or reverse the color scheme so that the circle in the middle is green with stars and the outline border is dark blue, then add a little red and black, whatever and then slap the words
Pearl Jam Seattle, Washington on it.
Cool?  Or disrespectful to the Brazilian flag?
I'm not against art.  Or raising funds for art.
I have supported (Starving Artists Society)  in the past.
And let's be honest they wouldn't do this to the Brazilian, Chilean, Japanese, Polish, Lithuanian, German, Norwegian flag in the name of Art or any other countries flag. Just the United States flag.  That's all I got to say about that.  No I'm not anti corporate.
I just remember the days in which some popular musician fantasized about foundering blimps or airplanes that had corporate logos on them circling over head at shows.  Now they have Citibank card holder exclusive shows.

I get getting pissed off, randomly, for whatever reason.

Not saying you should, but to throw it out there...take a deep breath, think it through, try not to jump to conclusions (initial post didn't even get what the reasoning behind the art was, but ready to bail).

Do what you need to...just hope you can treat this band, along with others, with the same open-mindedness as you would wish for yourself.

Lol, you take me way to seriously.
I'm not outraged or pissed off not at all.  I'm still a PJ fan for life (got my Wrigley Field bootlegs on the way finally, waiting for them to announce some US tour dates Maybe in 2018) just thought this would be a fun topic for a Saturday evening.  I'm not nearly as wacky or outraged as I made myself out to be.  I have kind of a dry sense of humor I guess.  And if this topic caused the flags to sell out quicker than they would have, that's great.
