Anthology Tab book buyers BEWARE!!

Just received my $88 dollar PJ Anthology book in the mail I've been anxiously awaiting for months.  The supposed complete guitar tabs are NOT complete. There are NO lead guitar solos included in the tabs. Which is half the reason I bought it. Unless you want the INCOMPLETE scores, don't buy it. How can you release "complete score" to Pearl Jam and leave out the solos? Think I'm going to ask for my money back. The description says "streamlined" but that could mean a lot of different things. Just thought other people should be aware of this.

Maybe they left those out because they were worried about personal injury lawsuits when your guitar catches fire or melting the cords resulting in significant burns if you play like McCready does...

Nice first post.  Do you want them to play it for you as well?
  • I really wanted this.
I mean as an object looks and sounded perfect for the novice player i guess.
It does seem a bit off to not be "complete".

I had the book for a while now. I was one of the few that got it before the delay. I don’t like it at all. There are way more accurate tabs on the internet and I’ve learned more from youtube videos than this book. I’d give it a 5/10. I paid $65cad with free shipping from Amazon so I’ll keep it as a resource but I’d never pay the $75usd plus shipping from Ten club. Not worth it.

Hi all, i've been meaning to set up a youtube channel with Pearl Jam lessons/tabs for a while but when i heard about the anthology thought it wasn't worth it. Sounds like it's a massive disappointment so i've just uploaded my first lesson Stone Gossards parts for "Once" complete with Tab.

I play in a Pearl Jam tribute band in the UK (called Pearl Jamm) and i'm obsessed with nailing all the parts as close as humanly possible to the original so if it sounds like something you're interested in then head over here - https://youtu.be/3ungPCQ1KGY and subscribe.

I'll be uploading every guitar part (Stone, Mike and Eddie) in track/album order (hence starting with Once), so it's a go to for learning ANY Pearl Jam guitar part :-) (and as a reminder when i forget my own parts haha)

    Cheers!

Thanks guys! Bear with me on the editing front, it’s the first guitar lesson I’ve filmed and my video skills are very limited so that’ll hopefully improve as I do more! Hoping to get evenflow up later this week

Quick update! I've added hyperlinks in the descriptions, which i'll do for all vids. That way if you only want to learn a certain section you can skip straight to it :-)
I've also put some performance notes in there. I'll try and get more vids on there as quick as i can, just takes a bit of time getting all the tabs written out correctly. Enjoy!

I got it for Christmas. I am ok without the complete solos but... It should have been bigger. Can barely see any of it and yes, I had my glasses on.

First mistake I caught was "She's your rock and roll" instead of "She's your RKO" on lightning bolt.

Just checked out your youtube channel for the first time.  Great videos!  Keep them coming.  Ive always found some of the ten era stuff tricky to nail for some reason, so its nice to see someone who can play them accurately break down the parts.

I'm not sure tabbing solos is relevant.  But then I'm the kind of person who believes solos are best never repeated.  There little more irrelevant musically to me than a note-for-note duplicated solo.
