Carvin Is Closing Its Doors

Got an email today. Carvin is closing after 71 years.

Total bummer.

Bummer, indeed! My favorite guitar is a Carvin CM130CE that I bought while in high school in 1979. Still have the guitar and the original hard shell case.

    That's awesome! Beautiful guitar.

I never owned their guitars or basses but I've had a few Carvin bass amps over the years. Still have a bass combo that's an absolute monster.

Every piece of Carvin gear I've owned has been reliable and their bass amps are pretty awesome.

Not necessarily top of the line, but a step up from typical, intermediate-grade gear.

Kiesel is the family name. It was changed a few years ago to pay tribute to the founder, as he had recently passed.
