Cmon 10c figure out your shipping. You're losing business!

cmon, lets get real with your shipping. $30.99 to ship a $39.99 record?  Look at the comments, people who used to buy from you aren't anymore. There has to be a better solution.
Look Metallica just put up a pre order for a triple lp, not a double, and shipping to Canada is $16.20!
 Theres my rant.

Yeah right. I paid $24.82 for Nine Inch Nails The Fragile Deviations - 4LP (!!!!!) - shipping to Europe. It took a week to deliver (DHL Global Mail) with no customs fees. Maybe you should ask them,...

Yes, it's nuts. I am actually going to miss out on the Let's Play Two vinyl, because I just can't afford to keep paying that kind of shipping with every 10C release.

In the end probably closer to what 10c shipping is because of the double cost

Thanks man - I'm actually not sure. How much is US shipping? I think shipping that from you to Canada would probably cost something like $15 USD (any Americans have a better guess? ), so TBH, I don't know if shipping it twice is much more affordable than the single international price. Any other Canadians here who do the double-shipping thing?

I resisted ordering the Singles soundtrack via Ten Club and am glad I did because I found it no problem at a local record store. On top of saving the $11 or so on shipping, I  also saved a couple more bucks since it was on sale as a new release. I will probably do the same for this release.

    Good thread.

Alice In Chains - Live Facelift, shipping to Sweden: $9.99.
Pearl Jam - Let's Play Two, shipping to Sweden: $30.99

    Ridiculous.

Get the shipping costs under control or open an European affiliate like other artists to, because of cost and the environment.

To be honest i dont think Tenc are making on the shipping if that is being suggested, but it seems there are better alternatives.

Perhaps they use this current method for good reasons that align with environmental concerns and the cost is secondary. Im guessing but im sure they dont do it to laugh at us

and the customs into the UK is a pain in the ass and has curtailed my orders but again this isnt an issue for tenc

Bump. This is ridiculous. Just saying, I am not ordering Vault 7 or LP2 because of this nutty shipping charge. I'm sure I'll be able to get LP2 from Amazon, but presumably 10C would prefer I spend with them. It's beyond me that this is considered to be an acceptable solution.

Even for domestic shipping. It is $12 and often times takes forever with this Mail innovations crap where it goes UPS to USPS. $12 to ship a double LP should allow it to arrive within 2 days in my opinion.

I feel for the overseas folks tho, it seems like a nightmare.

I did the math and thought of buying 10 copies and selling them for $50 USD, but realized duty and taxes may be added.

If I buy just one I am likely avoid the duty.

I feel for all you guys overseas and in Canada.  I'd have to definitely be much more selective on my purchases I feel I didn't live in the states. I'm willing to guess they're looking into shipping options for ya'll, they know this is a problem.  Hopefully they get you an option soon.

Agreed that the way UK charges for customs is not down to 10c Paul :)
....however having a European distribution arm for Merch/Music (like Ryan Adams does for example) IS something that 10c could do to help on this issue.

It seems like the shipping charge is the same to both Canada and Sweden? How is that possible?

Just FYI, I shipped a single vinyl within the US last week and it was $12 (USPS Priority), not including the packing supplies. I don't think 10C is making money on international shipping. The vaults are big and heavy. I'm guessing Wrigley is more than just a single vinyl in a thin sleeve.

Don't get me wrong, it sucks that shipping is so expensive.

Reverse shipping from me (MA) to 10C (WA) on 3lb Let's Play 2 vinyl via Media Mail - $3.61. Also MM is usually faster and a more direct trip than UPS Innovations. $12 should be 2-3 day Priority.

Yes, a lot of bands I order vinyl from use Media Mail. For example, I ordered 3 colored vinyl albums from the Ocean Blue and they sent them together via Media Mail and only charged me $3.88! Arrived in about a week in perfect shape. But yeah, I really feel bad for the overseas folks.

I never figured they were profiting from it. It seems to me that they just have a really terrible shipping service agreement with mail innovations. They should find something better - we all know something better is available, because most other operations have it.
