Accidentally meeting PJ fans

Ever just happen to meet someone who is a TC member, out of the blue?

Today I just had a customer in my gallery/frame shop who hadn't been in for a few years. As I'm writing up his frame order, he see's a curled up poster of mine on the counter and says "oh, I have a bunch of posters to frame another day". I say "oh, I kinda collect posters, this is a PJ one". He was surprised, since he has about ten of them. Apparently he's a huge fan and been in the TC since the early early days. We swapped stories for about 30 minutes. He toured Europe to see them and his wife had a quick close-up in the Cornice video.

Anyway - anyone else bump into other fans just in everyday life?

    Phoned up my mobile provider yesterday and my password is pearljam, so i gave it to him and he said good band etc so we chatted about pj. Incidently i phoned again today and a guy said good band too, i think it may have been the same guy.

    A member of staff at my uni was also wearing an old school '92 stickman shirt so i told him good shirt! He was too busy with another student for a chat.

    Was just out like you do.. and i saw this dude by the bar wearing a no code shirt, i was like what the fuuck (to myself) eventually wont over to him and talked to him. Found out is a 10c member and lives about 20 mins from me and is from pakistan, like one of the biggest fans you'll ever meet, plan on doing a few shows this summer infact. Come August last year I hadnt seen him for months and i lost my mobile the night before one of the shows.. anyhow it was the manchester show and i bumped into him waiting outside the toilet for my friend which is soo random conisering there was about 20k people there.

    There is someone who lives (I think...or at least visits a lot) down the street from me with a Virginia license plate Why Go and a couple of stickers. I keep trying to stalk them out but have never seen anyone near the car!

    There's a dude that wears a Mariners jersey that says Pearl Jam on the back. I've run in to him quite a few times. Our numbers are also really close, me being 114 and him 115, so I see him at every show in the NW. We were next to each other at the last Portland show and super close the two Seattle shows. I can never remember his name...

    Man, you are lucky I don't live in Richmond anymore because I would make you be my PJ BFF and it would suck to be you. :D

    I actually live in Pittsburgh now, which is where I see this car.

    i met a 19 years old in a cafeteria last week..he wears the choices shirt ,me the the Ten club Hoodie..we talk about pj..and i already found him a 10c tix for berlin...willbe his first pj show..i hope his parents pay for the trip..he is a student

    Was in line at the post office in my home town one day and the clerk (Barbara) had a pearl jam hoodie on. I asked her where she got it and she said she had just seen PJ in Paris. So we've bullshitted a lot since then. Seen her at an Eddie show in NYC.
    But here's a funny story-For the 3rd Philly show, My buddy bailed on us so we had an extra ticket. I went to pick up my 10C tix at the spectrum and there were 2 girls who were looking for 1 ticket. So I sold them my extra. Later on that night at Flannigans I ran into Barbara out of the blue and she was w/ the 2 girls I sold my extra too.
    To make a long story short Barbara ended up sitting w/ my 2 buddies at the show. Small world!!

    Ran into a fellow fan at Tires Plus. Said he had been to 70 some shows including 2 tours in Europe. I was in awe cause I thought I had been to a lot of shows. 15.

    Sitting at work today and I see a guy walking by with a PJ shirt on. I call out "hey Pearl Jam" and he stops and of course the PJ convo begins.  Super nice guy.

    I was at a local brew fest this past weekend at Montage Mountain and noticed a guy wearing a 2016 Wrigley shirt. Spotted him a few times, but crossed paths quickly at one point. I acknowledged the shirt and he mentioned that his wife noticed mine earlier (I was wearing my TOTD tour shirts). If I remember correctly, someone else joined the conversation too and mentioned they were at the Philly Ten show. 

    To the guys I talked to: If you're reading this, I apologize if I was forward. I was hammered and got excited. :)

    was at a basketball game visiting my sister in Eau Claire, WI (small D3 college) when I saw a guy wearing an "I'm analog" shirt. Had a nice chat with him, I was wearing a lightning bolt tee. 

    Just last month was at a Green Day concert and ran into another "I'm analog" shirt, had a good chat with him too.

    I always like how surprised they are when they meet me, because I'm only 17. Always fun.

    In '06 I was flying from Atlanta to Seattle for the Gorge PJ shows and there was a Christian youth group on my flight taking up most of the seats in the back. When I got to my middle seat there was a guy from that group in the window seat, young guy who fit right in with the group.  We made small talk when I sat down and then I asked where the youth group was going and he said "What?"  "Your Christian yough group, what are you guys going to do in Seattle?"  "Oh, I'm not with that group!  I'm going to Seattle and the Gorge to see a band called Pearl Jam."

    So then me and my new BFF got to talk for 5 hours about our love of PJ.  It also turned out we were on the same flight back from Seattle too.  He's now married to a woman he met going to PJ shows and they have 2 kids.
