I'm going to put a positive slant on the ticket prices, yes I know they seem high but I've just looked at my past orders and two tickets for PJ in Milton Keynes were more expensive than a pair are for the London show. The Leeds show was $30 less, I know that you can argue that they were PJ shows and obviously the MK date was a lot bigger but its also worth bearing in mind that these dates were in 2014 so at most $30 inflation over 3 years is actually pretty good. Tickets for any major band have all gone up massively over the past 5 years.
I don't remember complaining about high prices for those shows at the time so could they seem so expensive now due to the poor exchange rate of the pound rather than some kind of new found greed from Eddie?
So I entered for Amsterdam in the hopes that we could make it but realized that it wasn't going to happen. I saw drawing ends at 3PM CET but read it too quickly and thought that was 3PM EST. Ugh, I haven't; won a lotto since 2013 so of course I will win this one when I can't make it. Bonehead move on my part.
We were already considering a trip from Charlotte to the UK to visit my wife's family this summer, so this announcement gave me extra incentive to make it happen...and a specific time frame. I'm really hopeful that I'll be able to make it to London 1. I've never seen Throw Your Arms Around Me live (and the world needs a fucking hug right now) but am generally happy with whatever Ed feels like playing.
