SO we are getting something special, hopefully in time for X-mas, what are your predictions?

I am calling it the Wrigley Triple Play boxed set- all three Wrigley shows, one sweet ultra decorated with ivy and brick box set, maybe even a vinyl CD DVD combo??

What do you think? Double discs etc???

I don't think we'll see it until the Spring. (Opening day at Wrigley is April 10th - hmmm,)

I'll be happy with whatever the contents are but I just hope there is a vinyl included. But I think it's gonna be a best of blu ray for the 2016 shows and full audio of 2013 and 2016.

Aren't these shows too long for vinyl? A vinyl nicely holds about 40 minutes, maybe 45 to 48 minutes if you stretch it out. A vinyl set for a single wrigley show at 3 hours would be 4 or 5 records. That's a bit big. All 3 shows would be 12 to 16 records probably. I think that's a bit big for a vinyl set. I'd love to have a vinyl of any of this years shows as I think it would be cool to have a show I was at on vinyl. I still think modern shows are a bit big for the format.

I predict a CD box set of all 3 shows and a highlights bluray/dvd from the 2016 shows (they wore the same shirts both nights, so the only reason I can think of for that is take the best songs/performances from each night and edit them together for a single live bluray). Maybe we'll get a box set that has both for people that want the cd's and the bluray/dvd?

A best of the weekend on vinyl would work. But 1 show at 4-5 LPs isn't unreasonable.

I agree with pretty much all of this. If they released a vinyl with a few songs from each show, maybe, but there would be plenty that would hate the idea because of it not being a complete show. If it would be incomplete, I'd rather see it as a dvd and then have the full audio from all 3 shows.

Im guessing an Imagine in Cornice type DVD with some sort of vinyl. I wish it was all three shows on vinyl but have a feeling it will be a compilation vinyl not including any of the 2013 show. (No basis for why I think that, just a feeling)

It would be cool if they sold different versions. Have all come with a blueray/dvd, then from there you can get mp3 download of the 3 shows, one with CD's of the 3 shows, or a CD of the 3 shows again, but with vinyl of one of the shows (Wrigley 2 would be my pick).

I'll take anything but I hope all 3 complete shows on cd at the very least.

I'd get by with a compilation blu-ray of the 2016 shows but I'm really hoping for complete show blu-rays for all 3 shows.

Oh, & for what it's worth, how about complete show CDs & blu-rays for both nights of PJ20 at Alpine Valley while we're at it.

There's going to be a lot of disappointed people when they finally announce whatever it is for the 2016 Wrigley shows. Seems like everyone but one or two people have their hearts set on "all 3 shows." I will be shocked if 2013 is included.

I would say a release on vinyl, but then what about the Fenway shows? Although, it does seem odd to withhold all of the wrigley bootlegs, unless they are planning something bigger like a vinyl release. They could have released the digital boots and still put together a special package of some sort.

  • I think 2013 is out . . . London and Wrigley were testing some LB material and I wonder if the weather delays caused issues with sound board. Fenway is done. released, so no vinyl or special package. They said they were holding onto the boots for something special . . . so got to think blu-ray of some sort either both shows or a compilation of the two with the murphy's roof top footage. As for the boots themselves. even a compilation would be 4 or 5 records. got me thinking CD. Won't be ready for the holiday. too close to shipping cut-off for Christmas, etc. Hoping the 10th brings update on their plans for the material or a possible pre-order.

DVD / BluRay Box set of the 2016 shows. I'd love a vinyl release but I don't want to get my hopes up. I don't think anything from 2013 will be released..

I don't understand why the Wrigley dates gets special treatment that the Fenway shows didn't receive.
