I'm 39. I always kind of thought I was around the average age. Generally I run into people a few years older or a few years younger. You get the really young (and sometimes really old) outliers, but for the most part, when I go to a show, it looks like 90% of the people are my age, give or take 5ish years.

46 3/4. Loved that time in my life. Lost my high school sweetheart to a move across country in 91. Turned to PJ for the "deep" emotions of 10. That album put me straight. Very lucky to have PJ all these years. Actually lucky to be in prime of life with great music from SG, pumpkins Alice and Nirvana as well . Hooked up with my sweat heart years later got married and she got turned on to PJ thru me. Now we go to shows together and look forward for them. I have my best friend and my boys still bring it every show!!

I'm 23. Seems like most members/fans are in their 30s-40s, which makes sense.

I saw that tour also at Fenway. II wish I went to Gilmour at Radio City, Credit card is maxed right now. Seems like every show costs $1000 -$2000 with Scalper ticket , travel cost , hotel , meals, merch and misc.

58 First concert was Emerson , Lake and Palmer 1972 New Haven CT . First PJ show was Montreal 2011.
    Saw U 2 for 6 bucks in 81. I attended 14 shows this year PJ x 4 TOTD x2
ELO , Boz Scaggs , Robin Trower , Bad Co, Joe Walsh , Sting and Peter Gabriel , Janes Addiction ,
Tony Bennett 90th Birthday at Radio City with Gaga /Stevie Wonder, Bocellii etc. on NBC Dec 20
After TOTD in Philly I get back to the hotel and walk by the Piano bar. It looks dead about 8 people.
I take a closer look and thought I was hallucinating Stevie Wonder was performing. Watched him for an hour. It was like he was in my living room.

I hope next year is also a good year for concerts. So far only Roger Waters in Boston is on my radar.

I saw roger waters do the Wall in 2012. It was a great show, but I felt as if there was a lot of pre-recorded vocals. David Gilmour this year was mind blowing on the other hand!

I'm 21, and haven't been to a PJ show alone. Usually my girlfriend or a friend goes with me and we are all the same age. So there's a few young convert goers! I took my friend who is 20 to his first show at MSG this year and we got the rail right in front of Ed. Unreal first concert for him!

    44. Had to drive to NYC with a friend to get a student visa to study overseas. He brought the cassette and told me I had to hear this new band. We listened to the cassette the whole way there and back for over 6 hours, and I was hooked!

I've noticed over the past 10 years that the crowd -- especially here on the Message Board -- seems to be skewing younger.

When I first hopped on the Internet seeking out PJ stuff in 1998-99, I was in my late teens and was one of the "younger" ones in the Synergy era, IIRC.

You should make a poll with different age groups and have people vote. That will give us a good indication of the average age.

The average age should always be decreasing if the music is going to stand the test of time. At concerts it's still older but that probably has a lot to do with money.

If you look at a benchmark band like Zeppelin you would never say their fans are old even though they are a band that began in the '60's- they continue to grow and attract new fans.
