If you turned this into a poll would it give a % of age demos if the selections were teens, 20's, 30's etc?

    How do you do that?!
Find Big Bank Hank. He will teach you all about polls.

    36. First shows '96 Randall's.

Btw There's already a poll about fan age on here from a year or two ago, just search it.

The big 50. Was listening to Mother Love Bone in my early 20's. Crushed when Andy died that I never had the chance to see them live. Took a while for Ed's vocal style to grow on me but that all changed after seeing PJ for the 1st time in 92.

  • Sweet spot is 36-42, mu guess 35-40% of fan base. Early teenage angers/highscoolers when ten came out. I'm in this group, we are the faithfull.

This is a very good opinion.
I know when I go to concerts I see ages of all kinds I just can't remember what the majority of the age appeared to be. The same with picking up your tickets at the window it is a mix.
In general I agree that the faithfull are the ones that were in highschool when ten came out and are a huge base at concerts.

"The faithfull"...jeesh. Sorry but that's silly.

See shetellsherself's posts a few above. She said it perfectly.

Just turned 45 a few days ago. This thread makes me feel old, but at the shows I always feel around average age.

58 First concert was Emerson , Lake and Palmer 1972 New Haven CT . First PJ show was Montreal 2011.
    Saw U 2 for 6 bucks in 81. I attended 14 shows this year PJ x 4 TOTD x2
ELO , Boz Scaggs , Robin Trower , Bad Co, Joe Walsh , Sting and Peter Gabriel , Janes Addiction ,
Tony Bennett 90th Birthday at Radio City with Gaga /Stevie Wonder, Bocellii etc. on NBC Dec 20
After TOTD in Philly I get back to the hotel and walk by the Piano bar. It looks dead about 8 people.
I take a closer look and thought I was hallucinating Stevie Wonder was performing. Watched him for an hour. It was like he was in my living room.

I hope next year is also a good year for concerts. So far only Roger Waters in Boston is on my radar.

I saw roger waters do the Wall in 2012. It was a great show, but I felt as if there was a lot of pre-recorded vocals. David Gilmour this year was mind blowing on the other hand!

I saw that tour also at Fenway. II wish I went to Gilmour at Radio City, Credit card is maxed right now. Seems like every show costs $1000 -$2000 with Scalper ticket , travel cost , hotel , meals, merch and misc.

Why can't mathematicians be PJ fans?
I know I was born and I know that I'll die. The in between is mine.
