I hate to be negative, but my advice is get there early and do not leave for any reason, no bathroom breaks or t-shirts. It's so jam packed, it's very difficult to get OUT of the GA area. My wife had to go to the bathroom (God forbid) and we made it to the back of the GA area and then got pinned up against the rail and they would not let me hop over, it took another 10 minutes of climbing over pissed off people just to get out. We were unable to get back in after that but it was late second encore so no big deal. I will be there again tomorrow, look for the dude with a catheter strapped to his leg. :)

    Ditto...

They were only letting people exit ga on the left side. If you came in the middle or right entrance you still had to fight your way over to the left to leave for the restroom or beer.

Maybe they will fix that but it was a stupid way to operate the area.

Same advice. Get there a little early and don't plan on leaving.

We just stayed on the left side. Sound was good and the screen gave us close ups. I was hoping for arena ga scenario where there is still plenty of room in the back to hang out. There were just way too many people in there.

We were a couple rows behind ga and it looked really crowded in the middle but plenty of room on the sides.

Yeah I felt sorry for the people at the back rail. There was a steady stream of people stomping on their feet all night. I can't believe they set it up that way.

A lot of people making way too many beer runs with one exit as well. Difficult to get in and out. Also, have fun getting three wristbands to even enter it.

Band was good and sounded great. Unfortunately others deterred my overall experience.

One of my best pit experiences ever. Don't go in the pit and complain about being crowded. It was full of energy from the beginning to the end. We were in line 5am ish. Shared with my ga partner line duties for ga and merch, food, bathroom breaks, hotel check in. Started 3rd row mike's mic stand. When they came onstage the slight compaction and shift ended me 2nd row just to the right of Mike (slightly closer to Jeff's mic stand). During porch ed was right directly in front of me on the rail. Might be the most smashed I've been at a pj concert since 1992. Loved every second. I love ga and will line up every time I have the chance. The energy. The people. Seeing all of the little interactions between the band members up close. It's so worth it.

I think I'll keep my in fields for Monday

Regardless of getting there early or late, I recommend staying away from the exit in front of Mike.
Also if you go Stone's side you may have a difficult time getting out and in.
The line to enter was also a couple blocks long at 530.
There is a merchandise station right by the entrance if you want to avoid lines. There is another in far left field.

I agree with the comment above. Too many beer runs from the same damn drunk people always double fisting the cups full of beer, spilling some on everyone as the rudely just ran into you. Maybe those people should stay on the far sides so they can be all fucked up.
The was some good energy from the pit, which got better thru the show, unlike some shows that energy drops. My wife and I were to Mike's side far left. Plenty of room, but narrow viewing angle to see Mike and Jeff, so sometimes could only see what was going on looking at monitors. Was it me or not... When watching the band vs viewing the monitors there was about a second time delay audio syncing with video feed being in the pit. Really made me not want to watch close ups with Ed singing.

5th row center. Great view, sound, crowd. One of best PJ pits I've been in. No hassles, crazies.

Line was long but moved quickly on entrance. Good job by security.

Like any other pit stop drinking fluids before get in line. It'll suck having to go to the washroom. Even Eddie mentioned at one point it looked pretty packed in the pit. I had alot of fun. We showed up in the line around 5:30, ended up fairly centre in what I would consider about 10 rows back at a seated show.

If you want a good spot, this is good advice. If you plan on leaving the pit for any reason, it'll be tough to get back. Sound was great up close to the stage.

Sound from Periscope in the center of the pit sounded amazing & I am not a fan generally of Periscope sound.

How were views from the back and side of the PIt? From the seating chart the GA area looks enormous.

Best advice if you want to get in line more than a few hours before doors open - talk to the people in front of the line to see what's up. Even though the band's official statement is not to line up until a certain time, people will try and most likely work with whoever they can to play by security/city rules.

I was at the back rail. Made a few beer runs and jumped over and back every time. Security was cool enough to just let me. But I also didn't hesitate or ask. Just jump and it's all good.

Crowded yes but I've been in worse. People were cool all around me so being a bit crowded didn't bother me.

If being a bit swished bothers you just move to the side is my thought. Just go in whenever, pick a spot and have fun

Monday's show will only be my second GA. I wanted to get in line early. Will I have a problem getting my neighbors to hold my spot in line while I pick up my will call?

It shouldn't be a problem. We held each other's spots for will call, bathroom breaks, etc.
