GA was a mess. Maybe they changed it up eventually but the security team was only allowing one exit from ga when we tried to use the restroom. It was impossible to move... The only path was at the rear of ga.

Wrigley is a shitty place to see a concert if you are in GA.

  • This was quite simply the most emotional pj showed I've ever had the good fortune of attending.

Steve Gleason introducing Inside Job, and the song itself, was everything. I was originally not going to come to Chicago but I'm glad I was able to make last night's show. Heading home today (boo hoo). Tomorrow is going to be amazing, I can feel it.

Great set but like Fenway 1 , too many covers. There's just po many great PJ songs to justify that many covers.

I know. Great show but ga was ridiculous. Wasn't deep enough for that many people

I enjoyed this more than Fenway 1 but it felt very similar
Some serious great moments. Sad. Inside job. Light years. And the absolute singalong to end set 1 with daughter Jeremy better man.
Too many covers a la Fenway 1 and a lot of the same covers. But it was awesome anyway. Gleason, wow. EV was really affected by wrigley 2013, he brought it up 4 or 5 times. Makes that night even more special in retrospect knowing what they did for us and how much it meant to them.

Jealous of those that get to go Monday.

What a great year of US touring. Now what is in store for 2017? Can't wait!

Completely blown away. Awesome set list. AMAZING energy in the pit. I had an incredible spot that only added to the experience on so many levels. Waiting all day. Soaked in the morning then dried out. Then we finally hit the field and it immediately starts pouring again. I was soaked completely through. Didn't care. Here's the thing. I LOVE inside job. I've never heard it live. It has so much intense personal meaning to me. I've been hoping to hear it all tour. This is my last show this tour. I caught it. When I saw Mike strap on that guitar I was overcome with emotion. Thank you Pearl jam for a year I will never forget!

So glad you finally got to see this song live Jen!' I remember you hoping to catch it three years ago! It was so neat meeting you there! That was a wonderful experience, and I'm glad I got to go do that! Even if it took
1600mg of Serpquel and too many alcoholic drinks to survive sanely with 40,000 people! much love to you!

That is so cool Eddie mentioned The Hip. Tonight and the Hip's last show being televised meant a LOT to a LOT of Canadians, and the whole country got together this evening. I went to a street screening for it tonight and the communal love for Gord and The Tragically Hip was palpable. Not sad, celebratory and thankful. It was happening in all places across the country as though we were all doing it together. On streets, in bars, theatres, casinos, restaurants, city squares, parks, yards, living rooms, Canada House down at the Olympics, gatherings of Canadians living abroad around the world.... I don't think there has ever been anything like this before. It was really really special. And it was even all about raising money for Cancer research. For Eddie to mention it is very touching for a Hip/Pearl Jam fan.

This even made it to the news in Sweden, Canada saying goodbye to a beloved band.

Light Years has sounded fast to me every time I've heard it after 2000. I think it would sound better if they slowed it down a bit.

Had the same thought. Great show, so many deep cuts. Loved it.

My buddy and I were driving to the show yesterday and I said "how great would it be if they played Light Years and I Got Id back to back." As they're my favorite PJ songs... And they did. My face melted.
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

    Setlist and show were awesome!!

Hate to complain, but... Seriously fucking still pissed off that security would not allow any cameras whatsoever. No point and shoot without detachable lenses. Had same camera I've taken to every show I've been to, but the Cub's management told the security that No cameras permitted. Had to take it back to the hotel. Tenclub should have specified this would be the case.

Funny there was a guy in the back of GA with a mono pod and DSLR recording the entire show without a peep from any security, who incidentally was right next to h on the back rail all night.

Hearing/seeing Steve Gleason come out and talk to us and intro Inside Job was surreal, absolutely amazing. I. Not a cubs fan, but theobtage of the team during All The way made me cry, it was perfect for the song and the place

Ohh yeah full band let me sleep.....rusty but cool none the less. I felt bad for the White snake guy, he was in the front row so you know he's a die hard, and Ed was pretty harsh( all on good fun) but to make fun of the guy for 2 minutes on a stage at a concert was maybe a little more than needed, onlyoment of the show I did not love

Just an unbelievable night. So many awesome highlights....Low Light as the opener. Release is always amazing, especially in Chicago. Last Exit, Sad, Amongst The Waves, I Got Shit was fucking awesome, Inside Job, Go to start the second encore was killer, and hearing 40,000 people sing Better Man was a major highlight. Masters Of War was unbelievable. And Comfortably Numb and Surrender were fucking awesome too. They fucking brought it last night, and I get to do it all again tomorrow! Bring on night 2!!!

  • Steve Gleason was a nice moment for sure along with his introduction, quote and song choice. I am pretty sure that he will only be doing that at last night's show. I was also happy to see them play the movie trailer prior to the show to hopefully increase ALS awareness.

Yeah. Lots of covers and guests night 1. Lots of sentimental moments. Very much like Fenway 1. Some amazing peaks though in a number of songs. A few screw ups here and there. Nonetheless, I had a great time.

Wrigley security is lax within the stadium but the head security guys at the gates were megalomaniacal jackasses. There is no clear demarcation of where the stadium exit is located, and if you walked past that line there was no reasoning with them to get back in. We had to listen to the last two songs from outside, which BTW still sounds pretty damn good. If anyone doesn't have tickets for Monday, you can clearly hear it all from outside the stadium.

It was moving seeing Gleason out there, and hearing what an impact Inside Job has had on his experience of his disease. I was fortunate enough to be behind the scenes a little at Voodoo Festival in 2013 via Super VIP passes and saw Gleason and some band members there (Mike and Eddie), and it's amazing and inspiring to see someone progress as he has while still maintaining a positive attitude and spirit. He's doing great work and I can only imagine how much that message will help others struggling with all kinds of difficulties that are like his or are just everyday problems. I know it puts my life and daily struggles in perspective. Plus, I shed many a tear during the song.
