I'm a huge Blind Melon fan so I guess that's one I would really like to see. I did see them with their new singer. It was ok but noone can sound like Shannon Hoon.

That would be beyond wonderful.....imagine the scaplers' prices on those tix

Obviously I ignored the 'no longer around' part of the thread.
Imagine the F5 frenzy for them, hope she's no plans for using Crowdsurge :D

Somehow seeing Kate Bush in concert seems less likely than seeing Tim Buckley.. ;)
probably just as well since it'll probably sell out before i even know about it..

Honestly, I'd love for Soul Coughing to play one very last show together, even though they broke up more than 12 years ago.

I'd wanna see them play just a few songs, and then I'd like to watch Mike Doughty haul off on Yuval, Mark and Sebastian for an hour. Just read Mike Doughty's memoir, The Book of Drugs, and man...while Soul Coughing put out some interesting music, they really fucked over Doughty. I'd heard a few rumblings about the troubles in the band, but this book confirmed the fuck out of all of it. Glad he's doing his own thing these days.

So many of you said the Doors that I have to brag - saw them at the Hollywood Bowl when I was 12. :)
One of the very few advantages to being old.

I would have loved to have seen the Beatles in Hamburg - before all the screaming kept anyone from hearing them. And I wish I could have been at the Concert for BanglaDesh ( my husband saw the ad and skipped it! and he had MSG connections -- at least he regrets it).
And the Who with Keith - only saw w/o him ( but at least John E. was still around).

I still can not believe it! I always told myself I would go one day and now...
  • the white stripes again. :( one of the best live acts I've seen. Jack White's a beast. Also, Led Zep and Hendrix of course.

Wow nice reincarnation of the thread!

    The Band

I had a chance to see Levon Helm solo just before he passed away. If there was ONE do-over in my musical history I could change it would be to see the Band. Or Levon. Or even Robbie Robertson.

I had tickets to see Duke Ellington and his orchestra. The show was cancelled and he died a few days later. I wish he had lived just a little longer.
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

For me Rage Against The Machine when they were touring their first album in the nineties. They were so intense back then.
