Dear Pearl Jam, you wrote some GREAT songs after 1998...

Feel free to play them a little more often...

just because those albums didn't sell 5 million copies and the drunk guy at the top of the arena might not know them and sing a long with them, they are still great records and a lot of us still love them and would love to hear them

you have the best catalog of songs in modern rock history, don't be shy, please show it off

I've seen 13 shows since '08, and have heard very little off of RA or Avocado.

    Love me some Riot Act.

right now you might hear 1 Riot Act song every 4-5 shows... if you're lucky... same with No Code, Binaural, Avocado, and Backspacer... they seem to treat those entre albums as rarities or b-sides at this point...

Sucks because I would really love to hear "you are" more than any other song right now... Got scratched in philly and I was there. Also, got thumbing and all or none which was awesome, but my Riot Act greed is in full force.

I said nothing about not liking setlists my friend... i'm not going Negative Nancy here... just letting them know I think the music they made after 1998 is great and would love to hear those albums/songs get some more love...

Frankly, as a grown adult I can relate to and appreciate the songs made after 1998 more so than a lot of the early songs in a lot of ways... I don't care if a song is a hit, or a big singalong, or the album sold 5 million copies, that doesn't equate to being their best songs in my opinion... I just find more of their songs post 1998 to be more adult, more mature, and more relatable to me at this time in my life... I LOVE Binaural, Riot Act, and Avocado and I just think its a shame that they are almost completely ignored at this point beside the occasional time they sprinkle 1 or 2 nuggets into a set

75% of the setlists seem to be songs written in 1998 or before... all great songs from great albums and always a great time... but I just happen to also like the 18 years of music/records that followed

or maybe most people prefer to shift to Nostalgia mode and I'm in the minority?

considering I was seemingly the only person in my 10c section that knew what "Throw Your Hatred Down" was in Philly and the pit looked like a bunch of statues, I could be in the minority even around here?

They played a bunch of them last night.

And everyone thinks it's the best setlist of the tour because they played 8 songs off of Binaural, Riot Act, and Avocado...

I'm just wishing/thinking that should be more of the norm as opposed to being some rare crazy setlist

I'd like to hear stuff off all the albums. I think the earlier albums are stronger front to back, but there's still quite a few songs from the later albums that I'd really like to hear live. There was a show a few years ago, Vancouver 2013, where they played 5 songs from No Code. I quite liked that show (even if Eddie didn't like people not rocking out to Ole in the front row).

Vancouver 2013 was pretty Binaural Heavy.. I think we got 4 binaural songs in that set. It made me feel nostalgic for the binaural tour :) Soon Forget totally reminded of that tour.

I guess they have to find the right mix. They have 10 studio albums, a double b-sides album collection, all the b-sides/covers not in that collection, etc.... If you play 35 songs a night and have that much material it's not a lot from a single album. I guess they try to read their audiences and try to feel how deep they can go with the songs being played. If you don't have the right crowd and start playing too many deep cuts.. that could get rough. On the other hand if you have the right crowd and do it, it can be epic.

theres no reason songs like grievance, insignificance, nothing as it seems, save you, i am mine, severed hand, life wasted, comatose, etc should NOT be in regular rotation. im shocked they dont play grievance and insignificance more. grievance is a perfect song to play early in the show where animal, hail hail, corduroy, go, etc are always played

Force of Nature, In My Tree, Red Mosquito, Present Tense, Smile, Hail Hail, Brain of J, In Hiding, All Those Yesterdays, Rival, Love Boat Captain, Cropduster, You Are, 1/2 Full, Marker in the Sand are all great live in addition to those above should all be played more. They play some of these but not nearly as much as they should. Also...Alone they should bring back

I honestly think the problem is that most of the songs post Yield are very polarizing. For example I would DIE to hear Rival or Parting Ways, but God's Dice and Slight of Hand bore the fuck out of me, so me saying "please play more Binaural!" is kind of a crap shoot. But on the other side albums like Ten and Vs are pretty much 100% filled with songs that everyone at least likes.

What does that mean? This is a great freaking tour and the band sounds better than ever, nobodies debating that…..Hell yeah we all want to hear more Binaural and Riot Act, random songs from other albums. Isn't that the point of seeing your favorite band live? If so, oh well.. Put me down as a catalog snob. PJ4LIFE

So you don't like hearing songs written after the Bill Clinton presidency? Cool, to each his own

I do feel some albums get less attention.
I wouldn't mind not hearing Black or Better man at a gig so there is more room for songs from Riot act, Binaural or No code.
On the other hand right now I'd settle for any setlist if it would mean I got to see them this year.
