Gorge General Admission

I'm just about to purchase tickets for the July 23 show, and I notice that the tickets available are standing only and general admission. I'm just curious about a few things:

1. How far away is the standing room? Like will I be able to see the band very well?

2. Is it basically first come first serve in that section?

3. How far would it be to walk there from the campground?

4. I'd be coming from Vancouver, BC, so apparently it takes about five hours to get there. Are there often any problems on I 90 that could potentially make me late? Cause I work until 12:30 am on July 23, so I'm thinking about possibly getting an earlier shift, so that I can get a better night's sleep and leave as early as possible! :) Don't want anything to stop me from getting to this concert!

Sorry I've tried to get a good idea by looking at various pictures, but its kind of hard to tell cause they all seem to be aerial shots overlooking the entire venue.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, a beautiful view from the GA. First come first serve but it's a pretty nice lawn/hill. It starts right behind the reserved seat section. It may get chilly at night. Bring binoculars.

Yes, and fans get there early to try and get a good space but you really don't need to be crazy about that. There is lots of good room.

    I dunno.

I drove from Vancouver for the 2005 show before the Canadian tour. A nice easy drive from Vancouver. Nice highway the whole way and not hard to find at all. Depending on the time of day you may hit some rush-hour traffic as you pass Seattle.

On a Saturday there shouldn't be any rush hour traffic.

Thank you guys all very much for the responses.. sounds like there's plenty of room in the standing areas which is great. The road sounds pretty good as well, I've been down I 5 plenty of times but never I 90. This trip is gonna rock! :D
