We Lost One Of Our Own...I will miss you Brian

Brian was one of the biggest Pearl Jam fans I knew. He was one of the most compassionate, loving, empathetic, thoughtful, approachable and beautiful human beings I've come across in the Pearl Jam family since I began striking up conversations with fellow fans in the 90's. I met him and his sweet daughter Abigail at a show and we stayed in touch after that.
I cannot express to you enough how much of a gem this man was. His wife died young, leaving him with 5 young children to raise on his own. The first thing he ever told me upon our introduction, was that Pearl Jam saved him when the love of his life passed away -- thus saving his kids, because he needed to be there for them. So PJ was there for him, he was there for his kids and his kids turned out just fine. Better than fine. They're wonderful, as wonderful as he was.
My husband and I couldn't stop talking about how awesome he was after meeting him the first time. He left such an impression.
Please send love, hugs, vibes, thoughts, prayers or whatever you can toward the East Coast this weekend while his devastated family sends him off. And please add some comments to his legacy page to fill it up with Pearl Jam lovin and lyrics. I know his family would appreciate it very much. Play a song and think of him fishing for lobstah, camping, watching his favorite band play his favorite songs and spending time with his beautiful family. I love you Brian. You will always be who I will strive to be more like. The line in Light Years is so so so him and how he lived his life:
...no time to be void...or save up on life... no, you've got to spend it all....
