Wrigley Reserved.... Did anyone lose with this as your 1st choice?

Is there anyone here who had either night 1 or 2 as their 1st choice, and ended up LOSING that choice?

Just curious

I haven't heard, or read of ANYONE who lost with reserved for either night as their 1st choice.

Doesn't really look like there has been. I landed both nights RES by simply choosing them in order and had N1 and N2 GA as my 3rd and 4th choices for backup. I've seen a good number of people who landed the same.

  • So if you stayed away from the GA CHOICE as your 1st choice, the GA choice where you had a 60-70% chance of losing......

You were basically guaranteed a ticket to Wrigley.

    exactly...

I felt like potentially you could win all 4 sows if you went for reserved and ranked them properly...

but im sure plenty of people fucked it up lol

It is difficult for me to feel sorry for someone who makes their 1st choice GA, knowing they have a 70% chance of losing. THEN, they make that same show their 2nd choice reserved, also knowing that 100% of the people who made it their 1st choice will be getting tickets before them.

That is not how it works. They pull a name. If they have your 1st priority available, you get that, if not, you get your 2nd priority, etc. just because someone has something ranked as 2nd priority does not mean that someone with that same thing ranked as first priority well get it first. They have to have their name drawn first.

Then why did someone above not get chicago 2 when it was their first priority, but other people have gotten it as their third? You have to have your name drawn. if it isn't drawn, you won't get tickets. Basically like how a lottery works :)

This is my fear right now. Those were my choices as well and everything is still Entered/TBD. It's astounding that people are scoring Wrigley 2 Reserved as their 3rd or 4th choice and someone could be shut out when it was their first choice. If what you're saying is true, why even bother with ordering choices to begin with?

That strategy is how I ended with Ten Club tickets to 6 of the 12 shows I'm going to on this tour. It should have been 7 but I was too lazy to change my entries on the Wrigley/Fenway lotto.

I had Wrigley night #2 - reserved as my 1st Choice, Wrigley night #1 - reserved as my 2nd choice. I lost both, no tix.

Post a screenshot of your entries. This doesn't make sense. I really don't believe you.

    Best possible order entry:
    Night 2 GA
    Night 1 Reserved
    Night 2 Reserved

Why? You were entered in 3 different drawings with a reasonable chance of winning all 3. Nothing wrong with reserved for 1st and 2nd picks, but you are only entered in 2 drawings. Lots of folks won reserved for 2 nights with this combo, and several people won GA for night 2 with reserved for night 1.
  • FWIW: From the Ticket Drawing FAQs:
Q: How does the show priority selection factor in to the drawing?
A: For each show we will randomly draw members who have made that show their #1 priority. If any tickets remain the system will randomly draw names of members who have chosen that show as their #2 priority, and so on until every ticket for a given show has been sold. Please keep in mind that not everyone can have their #1 priority. Priority rank is merely a consideration.

I would agree with this. I went for GA night 1 with my first choice and got it, but I knew the risk was there.

I put Night 1 and 2 Reserved as my 1st and 2nd choice, followed by GA for Night 1 and 2 as 3rd and 4th choice- just got the notification a moment ago that I'm in for Reserved for both shows. Glory. I was getting worried toward the end there...
