PJ, please play OUTDOOR venues

Im from the Buffalo area, and although i'd take any show at this juncture,
I really hope they play Darien Lake instead of HSBC. I don't understand
why PJ plays arenas during warmer / summer months. May would qualify.
The sound is so much better at outdoor venues, imo. The atmosphere is better too.
I know from experience that HSBC and Air Canada Centre have sub-par sound.
They should be playing the Toronto show at the Molson Amp, outside. Of course
there are many factors that go into where PJ plays shows, but I think they should
be making a push to play outdoor venues May-September. Not just festivals, but
entire tours. The thought of the low sound levels and echoes inside HSBC doesn't
really have me that disappointed Buffalo was left off the initial tour announcement.

Ive seen them in both setting many times and although I love the tailgating and atmosphere of the outside show on a beautiful night i would prefer to see them in an ARENA 100 out of 100 times... Better sound, Louder Sound, more intensity... louder crowds... i battled with my opinion on this for a few tours in a row but Ive offcially become a PJ ARENA Guy! That being said... I CANT WAIT FOR FENWAY! haha

For me it comes down to convenience. Arenas are usually in town and easy to access. Amphitheaters tend to be out in the sticks.

Amphitheaters generally have poor sound quality compared to arenas. Source: my ears.

Was hoping for Indy outside, but last time there was tornado warnings, I am sure they want to avoid delays as much as possible...I am lucky they are within 70 miles of me though, been since the last KY show they were.

I love PJ outdoor shows. Wuhlheide is awesome, and I would not mind at all seeing them in an American amphitheater open air again.

Small arenas are great. Massive arenas suck. As for outdoor, the overall experience is usually better for a tailgate party. As long as there is no rain.

I feel that the majority of the crowd/band noise is lost at an outdoor venue. I very much prefer an indoor venue.

I way prefer indoor shows in all cases. Yes, the Gorge and Red Rocks are beautiful... but the sound is just better indoors, and youbdon't have to worry about being way too hot, too cold, or wet.

I prefer outdoors , by far the sound is better, there is no echo and distortion like indoors venue.

Yeah, I think we're confusing "good sound" with "loud sound". Arena designers only recently started taking sound into consideration; they are built for basketball/hockey. Amphitheaters are designed for sound. Yeah the sound system is a factor, but a well done outdoor show is going to have better sound than an indoor arena show
