I think a lot of people are going to walk away disappointed with the tour announcement tomorrow.
I think a lot of folks are hyping this up and hoping to find a unicorn. SA is a given, and I think a small Canada tour and only ONE show in the US is a stretch this year. If that only show in the US is the Global Citizen festival, I won't be making it and would be disappointed. The most I'm hoping for is an October tour in Canada. It would supplement the four MMJ shows I'm going to this summer including Red Rocks, the Foos at Wrigley, and DMB here in Des Moines. Seeing PJ in Canada in October would be icing on the cake.

Lol but how certain are you with Canada? Because I'm starting to feel I might be disappointed and it might just be SA. I just feel because they put Announcement for 3 days from the 10th just seems like it has to be more then just SA.
Late to the party here but I think it's an announcement of a 5 show run to close the Joe Louis Arena in 2017. A guy can dream can't he?
Now this is something I can get behind!
2013 Wrigley, Pittsburgh, Buffalo
2014 Cincy, Detroit, Moline, & Milwaukee
2015 Central Park
2016 Lexington, Ottawa, Toronto 1 & 2, Boston 1 & 2, Chicago 1 & 2 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony 2018 Seattle 1 & 2, Missoula, Chicago 1
Canada won't be announced until 3 months prior like the Midwest Tour was, South America has to be announced much further in advance, because people need more time to get enough time off work to travel to SA, whereas, the Canadian shows won't have near enough tickets anyway, so not near the amount of people coming from outside the continent to see the shows, some of venues in SA are much bigger so they take more time to sell out as well

The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

Just spotted on ticketmaster a madonna show in Montreal set for september... so it is safe to say that PJ could announce a Canadian tour....

Please announce something in addition to a tour. Seriously. Not all of us save up a years salary and vacation to travel with the band! That's what the college years were for! Hahaha!!!!!!!

seriously, how many people travel to these sa shows from other parts of the world? a few hundred each show?
How long has this been up on the Global Citizen Festival website?
I just saw that this morning, was going to ask the same thing.
2013: Wrigley Field, Pittsburgh, Brooklyn 1, Brooklyn 2, Philly 1, Philly 2, Baltimore
2014: Cincinnati
2015: Global Citizen Festival
2016: Philly 1, Philly 2, MSG 1, MSG 2, Fenway 1, Fenway 2, Wrigley 1, Wrigley 2
2017: Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Induction 2018: Krakow, Chicago 1, Chicago 2, Boston 1, Boston 2
I'm expecting a monster let down and not getting my hopes up. Probably only SA dates, with MAYBE one US festival like Global Citizen festival (yawn).
I hope I'm wrong.
