Modest Mouse recent tour? Who's seen them?

I got to see them at Forrest Hills here in NY and they were fantastic. If you are on the fence about seeing them don't be. They put on a great show. They actually played Float On for an encore. Didn't see that coming. Thought they didn't even play that.

I wanted to go to the Portland shows but they sold out almost instantly. A friend went to Boise for their show and came back all smiles. Do you know if they have played anything new?

They didn't debut anything new. They were really good though. I didn't realize how good they really are!

Since 2010, in protest, I've boycotted seeing them live until they put out a new album. It hasn't been working.

Not me. :(( They were here, but at a huge festival that kind of requires you to camp in the summer heat. I cannot do those kinds of festivals. So I missed them again. One of my favorite bands.

    YES!!! Two drummers.

They're touring so maybe they'll put out some new music?

Love this band live. Hard to believe it's really been SEVEN YEARS since they've released an album proper. C'mon guys, get to it!
  • Just saw them a couple months ago in Portland, the shows were very very fun. Love Modest Mouse. I was incredibly tempted to go see them in Calgary but with 3 Jack White shows coming up I had to hold off. There were new songs played and I think they play about a half a dozen pretty regularly. Hopefully a new album comes out soon.

I saw them at Coachella a few years ago, short terrible like 35 minute set. Isaac was pissed and yelling at the crowd. I read later that there was an issue about equipment/stage times. .....Anyways, that was all forgotten when they absolutely killed it at Pemberton last year. Their set was awesome, and they were by far and away the best band that day. I have been eagerly wanting to see them at a smaller venue, but they haven't played Vancouver in years. Possibly not since the National/Modest Mouse/REM show in 2008, which was technically in Burnaby....Anyways, it has been WAY TO LONG!!! Really hoping for some added dates on this tour.

Tickets for some shows went quite quick today. Got into Buffalo but only through the secondary market unfortunately. Oh well, I'm excited to be seeing them finally.

Just saw them this weekend in Raleigh, great show, I knew about half the songs. I dont know much of their older stuff and they probably played some from the new record which I hadn't heard yet. Good energy, chill crowd, and they played about 2 hours I think. Def gonna see them the next time they come around too!
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

Yeah at least 6-8 times between songs, talking to one person he knew, saying he doesn't care at all about sports, and he couldn't figure out why one person bit another. The rest I couldn't really make out, guess he was trying to be like eddie :)
