Vault #4 Vinyl Packaging Rocks!!!

Wow. Totally worth the extra time to get here. Probably the most bombproof packaging of vinyl that I've ever received. Vinyl was wrapped in thin bubble wrap, then boxed, then wrapped in heavy bubble wrap, and then in another very nice box. Hats off to 10c for taking the time to repackage them and looking out for our new vinyl.

...but I keep hearing the vinyls have pops, ticks, and some are skipping. So the packaging means nothing if the contents are already defective. It has me concerned since I haven't received mine yet but yes the effort to take the packaging a step further is appreciated.

  • Yeeeeesss. Best packaging they've done. 8000x better than my Avocado record - dinged up corners, etc.

Haven't opened the shrinky to play yet, so I can't speak to audio issues (fingers crossed - big time). I have yet to exchange my LB 1st press, and it's probably too late for that.

Yeah for all the complaining that goes on around here about this, 10c did it right and has done right by everyone (or will for the EU fans).

These Vault releases are fantastic. I really hope its an annual thing. I'd wait 6 months for this EVERYTIME.

Is a possible concern a complaint?

I cut the living shit out of my finger opening the actual vinyl by sliding my finger into the plastic. Right under the fucking fingernail. So much blood I'm nauseous.

    Yes I'm still pissed.

I've seen the photos. Just like their Vault 3 packaging. I can't wait to receive it. :)
I'm so glad their Vault vinyls are packaged this way.

Two Vault Pearl Jam vinyl releases per year? Sounds good to me! :D

If they could knock it up another notch and release more 7", 10" & 12" records at the 10club store, two times a month that would be sweet!

Ideally, A Third Man Vault subscription would be the best.

I like that it's once a year. It leaves something to look forward to and you don't get burnt out on it - neither conceptually nor financially.

    I second that emotion.
  • Yeah, great package. Mine sounds great, no pops or clicks so far.

Vault membership. They are sitting on a goldmine of shows that could be mixed and mastered and done up for release.
