Request from a 13yr Nevan who should be on the rail tonight (Tulsa)... Baba for the Birthday Boy

Hi all,

I usually don't request anything, but I met a very cool kid while in St. Louis and he absolutely loves Baba O'Riley. He should be on the rail tonight in Tulsa as he is sleeping out. So I'm asking everyone in GA to look out for him and protect him and for everyone else to send positive vibes and birthday wishes to this young PJ fan.

If you see a kid playing the Yuke in the GA line, be sure to wish him a happy birthday.

Here's to you Nevan. I hope you get your Baba for your Birthday.

    met Nevan last year in dallas/OKC and then again over the weekend -

    don't assume that he's going to jump around only for Baba -he was in my line of sight during the st louis show and any time i happened to look in that direction he was rocking out... to every fn song - it was awesome to see

    the kid loves music, loves PJ, loves helping out at wishlist parties... truly a great kid

    i have no doubt when Ed observes how into the show Nevan is that he will make his night special

    hopefully nevans mom doesn't pass out ;)

    happy birthday nevan!! - baba or no baba I know it will be a great one

    Rumor is that this show is Nevan's 236th show. I'm not sure if that's true or not. He looks like an honest kid.

    Um, no offense but shouldn't nevan be in school instead of a GA line for a pj concert? I love pj just as much as the next fan but let's get real here, he's 13. And according to this thread, he's been going to the shows on this tour. Whatever happened to education? I'm just saying. And if he lives somewhere where school is all year and this happens to be his off time, then I'm all for it, but if he's missing school for a tour, now that's just strange.

    He's tour schooled. Is that better or worse than home schooled? Hope he gets to graduate on time...or has he already graduated??? Never know. Kid could be a genius or something... At least he's not skipping school to drink beer, smoke pot, and have sex with his 13 year old classmates... Just maybe some innocent second hand pot smoke at the concerts.

    Not my kid, but I would be proud if he was. From the short time I've met him, he seems very well behaved, lots of manners, etc...

    I know I've learned more from touring the world then I ever did in middle school (or high school), maybe even college. Not my Masters though. I learned more in my Masters classes than touring the world.

    yeah one or two days out of school will really make a difference - are you serious about this?? cmon... really??

    the kid is a tutor for other kids in his school on top of a ton of other activities

    he went to the show on friday because he lives near the venue - although he did skip school that day to volunteer all day raising money for kids with cancer - this kid really makes poor choices huh??

    I always love it when people start a sentence off with "no offense but" and then go into some sort of speech, so,
    1. All school work was required to be done before we left for the whopping 2 days we have been gone. Sometimes kids get sick for longer than that. He is in all AP classes and has a great education without question I promise you. But sometimes in life you gotta learn things outside of a school. And at the end of the day it was MY choice for him to experience this with me. I will assure you his education is in no way going to take a hit from being absent for two days. I wouldn't take him out if it were.
    Many know Nevan. And he is an articulate, polite, extremely smart kid with a good head on his shoulders.
    And yet I still take him to shows. In a different state. In the middle of the week.

    Life experiences don't always need to work on a school schedule. And when he gets to college, I hope by then he will know exactly as he is learning now, to be kind to others, and to share and be part of something bigger.
    So thanks for the "whatever happened to education". I'll let you know what his SAT scores are as soon as he takes them if that makes you feel better.

    That's awesome for you to be a cool parent. Life is more than a book. He will remember this as a great time with his mom. No one could ever take it away from him. Just stay away from the potheads at the show. :)>-
