Eddie has been touring solo since 2008 and has yet to release a live solo album....will he? Chris Cornell's live album "Songbook" is great...no reason Ed couldn't do the same.

I think water on the road covered the solo gig fairly well. I doubt we will get anything else before we get another Ed solo studio record.

Meh, sorry but I don't think I'd buy it myself. The ukelele album just Didnt cut it for me. Into the wild was amazing but the other one was uh....

Not really seeing it. I'd guess two or three more studio albums from EV before another live one.

I think water on the road was the closest thing to a live release.

I am sure you can also find the 11.01.12 show from Las Vegas that they played on PJ Radio somewhere on the interweb.

There's always a 100% chance in this business. Ed has his name with PJ to probably 400 physical release live albums and probably over another 100 digital. If the question is, is there a chance then absolutely. When and in which format is another matter but as has been said here already, Water On The Road is as close as we'll probably get until at least until he does another album. Who knows, he may surprise us by springing a series of boots on us on but sadly I doubt it.

it's impossible to guess at something like this. i've seen a couple Eddie shows. They are okay. PJ shows tend to be more exciting. Nothing against EV, but its just a volume thing. 1 guy doing all the work vs spreading it amongst 5-6. PJ will almost always win this one in my book

Imo Ed does too many covers and the legal red tape would get in the way.

I would really enjoy an official release though. Maybe something will come from his solo SA shows.

^^^As long as he's willing to pay, then no red tape would get in the way. I could see the royalty fees digging into the profits putting a kaybosh on it, but not like a PJ20 situation.

I could maybe see it in the future, when he has enough material to fill a whole show on his own, but I think that would change the spirit of the Ed solo shows. I think shows centering in his solo output would drive the demand way down.
