Triest - Vienna is a tricky one using public transport.
I live directly on the route (Villach) from Trieste to Vienna and I don't know of any direct connections.
I would say your best bets are:
- reach at least Udine by a separate regional train and change there to an intercity train to Vienna. Udine - Vienna should be found on the Austrian Railways Portal: www.oebb.at, not sure about Trieste - Udine, should be somewhere on an italian railway site
- Find another fan who takes you to Udine or Villach by car and change there to the train... There should be plenty travelling home to Austria on the day or the day after the concert. I will be driving myself but my car is already full...
