    "Real Me" - The Who

Many Iron Maiden songs because Steve Harris is the tight-fisted leader of the band!

When it comes to awesome bass lines (and awesome guitar and drums too) Achilles Last Stand by Led Zeppelin always comes to mind. John Paul Jones plays fantastic galloping bass line on an 8 string bass.

I'm pleased you included Jaco. I really like his self-titled album.
  • I like a lot of Modest Mouse bass lines... Eric Judy is brilliant.

I guess he has left the band though. That's too bad

Jeordie White's bass work on APC's "Gravity" and "Weak and Powerless" speaks to my soul

Justin Chancellor on "Schism" "Forty Six & 2"

Les Claypool on everything Primus has done

Mike Mills made a lot of great bass lines... "Drive"

    Flea... "Coffee Shop"

Billy Corgan or James Iha on "Raindrops + Sunshowers"

Paul Mccartney on "Come Together" "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" "Dear Prudence"

Jack Bruce on 'Strange Brew" "Tales of Brave Ulysses"

Nick Oliveri on "In the Fade"

Amazed nobody has mentioned John Deacon yet, the absolute master of good taste, and creator of several of the most iconic basslines of all time.

This song The Millionaire Waltz, although not the most iconic, surely has to be one of the most beautifully played and written bass centred tracks of all time:

  • Ramble On, heard it a thousand times before really understanding how good JPJ is, even Jimmy's playing is underrated on this song.
