Setlist

01. Pendulum-(from the new album “Lightning Bolt”)
02. Long Road
03. Sometimes
04. Corduroy
05. Lightning Bolt-(from the new album “Lightning Bolt”)
06. Mind Your Manners-(from the new album “Lightning Bolt”)
07. Last Exit
(Ed starts to address the audience. After a lengthy period of cheering he says, “wow, we are going to have to work very hard to deserve that so let’s just keep going.”)
08. Immortality
09. Even Flow
(“Even a great surfer can’t surf well if the waves are shit and these waves you are putting out are some of the best we have had all tour.”)
10. Sirens-(from the new album “Lightning Bolt”)
11. Alone
12. Unthought Known
13. Let The Records Play-(from the new album “Lightning Bolt”)
(during ‘Records’ Ed holds a copy of the new album)
14. Save You
15. Do The Evolution
16. Better Man/Save It For Later-(Charley, Cox, Morton, Steele, Wakeling)

Encore Break 1

17. Yellow Moon-(from the new album “Lightning Bolt”)
(“This one wasn’t on the list but we want to play it for a beautiful person named Avielle”)
{Ed doesn’t mention it but Avielle was a victim of the Sandy Hook shooting. http://www.aviellefoundation.org}
18. Come Back
(Ed says this next song is about being a parent. Someone in the audiences shouts “World Wide Suicide”. Ed laughs and says no, that isn’t the song but now he isn’t sure he will be able to sing the next one because he will be laughing about that. He goes on to say that the next song isn’t so much about the kids but the parents being able to spend time together. Only Ed says “fuck” a lot more and offers to explain what fuck means to the kids who have come to the show)
19. Future Days-(from the new album “Lightning Bolt”)
20. Chloe Dancer/Crown Of Thorns-(Mother Love Bone, A. Wood)
(Ed says “let’s thank Jeff and Stone for helping write that song.” He talks about Andy Wood and the themes of the songs they have been doing tonight. “But what the hell, it’s Friday night and I know Andy would approve of what’s about to happen.” Ed talks about how they played a certain song and said it was a one time only thing but when he got here today he realized he wanted to play it again. “But first Mike is gonna do this”.)
21. Eruption-(Van Halen)
22. Ain’t Talkin’ ‘bout Love-(Anthony, Roth, Van Halen, Van Halen)
23. Given To Fly
24. Got Some
25. Wasted Reprise
(Ed speaks emotionally about what had happened in Newtown last December. He got to meet with some of the parents and says we have to find some way of discussing how to help stop something like that happening. He notes that some people will want to defame those who speak out about this topic and try to prevent them from having a voice. He said we looked into it and the gun lobby isn’t the biggest or most powerful lobby. He speaks about for awhile and how important it is to protect our children and to have a voice.)
26. Life Wasted
27. Porch
(while swinging from the globe Ed manages to grab his mic off his stand but the cable is to short for his arc and it gets pulled out of his grip. Jeff picks it up and hands it to him.)

Encore Break 2
(Ed says,”I don’t know if you have to work tomorrow but we don’t so we are going to keep going.” “We are for equality for everyone so we have to play at least one song to the back”) They play the next song to the people behind the stage.)
28. Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town
(Ed notes that there was a time when the band couldn’t play certain songs because they didn’t have a keyboardist. He introduces Boom and notes that Boom has family and that it is Matt and April’s anniversary. Ed holds up a sign and says, “I have no idea what it means.” Jeff says it “says Can’t Touch this so MC Hammer. Matt Cameron.” Ed also wants to sing happy birthday to Matt’s son Ray.)
29. (happy birthday Ray)
30. Crazy Mary-(Williams)
(Ed thanks the crew for working long hours in cold buildings. “We want to dedicate this song to everyone from the truck drives to the guitar tuners, everbody. Don’t Go.”)
31. Go
(Mike talks to Ed for a bit. Ed hands the mic over to him and Mike talks about Jennifer Jaffe and her advocacy for patients. Ms Jaffe passed away last year but her group still works to help people fight for health insurance claims)
32. Alive
33. Fuckin’ Up-(Young)
34. Indifference

Great night! Started out on the floor 4 rows from the back and was given GA wristbands from someone I'm assuming was from the 10C. Ended up about 7 deep on Stones side.

  • Phenominal 1st show since other Hartford venue in 08, and worth the wait. Even atrocious Fri rush traffic from NYS was worth it. Finally got Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns! My night! Great crowd, nice venue.
I am myself, like you somehow.

Very few times in our lives do we get to witness perfect moments. Eruption/Ain't(AGAIN) 15,006 faces united when those house lights came up. The hugs that Mr. Gaspar shared with his son off-stage after crushing it with Mr. McCready. MC Cameron? Perfect moments none of us will ever forget.
They're the best performers in the world in front of people that love them. Incredible.
  • Aw man, Chloe/Crown AND Fuckin Up the show after I saw them. I just can't get either of them. This is a great set, I'm jealous of yous.

OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS BAND!

Just got back to Boston after the show. It was amazing. They never disappoint. Great energy from beginning to end. Had fantastic seats in 115. Loved Pendulum into Long Road. Chloe/Crown...what can we say... Hartford you were major league tonight. Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love lit the crowd on fire (again) but holy shit Eruption! Mike was again amazing.

Didn't figure a show was going to be in Worcester 1 territory for me so soon. Wow was I wrong.

Thank you Pearl Jam for three amazing New England shows!

    I just got home.

Cannot process anything right now. I cannot hear. I cannot speak. Holy shit, that concert was fucking LOUD. Of the 4 shows I went to, I gotta say, that was the loudest. And the crowd, unbelievable. Such a great atmosphere. Crowd was into it from the get go, so was the band. My voice is gone. (Doesn't help that I'm sick, but I belted out every song anyway.)

    Highlights:
    LONG ROAD!
Immortality - Mike blew me away with his solo
Sirens - just so amazing live
    ALONE!
LTRP - such a groovy tune
    Do The Evolution
Betterman - just, WOW. crowd singing 1st verse (like at MSG) gave me CHILLS
Yellow Moon - favorite off LB
Ed talking about partners and fucking your partner before Future Days  I was DYING of laughter
Chloe/Crown - WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT! heard twice in 4 shows now!
ERUPTION! MIKE MCCREADY = GOD :-D
Ain't Talkin Bout Love - AWESOME
Given To Fly - always a favorite
Porch - overplayed? ABSOLUTELY NOT. so good.
Small Town - love that they played to the back stage folks. whole crowd was singing, just awesome.
    Go
    Alive - come on, it's a classic.
    Fuckin' Up - FUCK YES.
Indifference - such a great song to close out a show. screamed my lungs out till it filled the room, and consequently left my voice AT the xl center.

That's about all I have right now. I gotta be up in less than 5 hours. Yay!

Awesome, awesome, awesome show. BIG THANK YOU to @floyd11554 for selling me his spare 10C reserved seat. Really appreciate it! Great view.

What a night. Final show of my first tour, and it was amazing. I'll never forget this past week. Pearl Jam concerts are a fucking religious experience.

    2024: MSG 2, Philly 1, Philly 2, Fenway 1, Fenway 2
  • Just amazing. I can't even put it into words.
They will have to change "ain't talking bout love" from an OTOTO to a OPOPO
On place one place only ... Hartford!!!

Very moving experience... You could see it in Eddies reactions.
Simply AMAZING. Thanks PJ and all the Hartford fans for making such a perfect wave!
~so this is what it's like to be an adult...if he only knew now what he knew then~
  • My 12th show. My 3rd this tour. I think this may top both lists. The energy was just ... amazing ... epic. The entire band was so into it and having such a great time. You could tell, even from way up top. They sounded perfect and it was SOOOOOO LOUD!! Finally: Chloe/Crown of Thorns! My brother was not impressed with them last tour (or maybe it was 2008) but was blown away tonight, and i'm so glad THIS was the show he got.
Man, I cannot really put it into words how amazing tonight was, but maybe tomorrow after some sleep.
    Way to represent, Hartford.

Oh! The poster kind of sucks, but I cannot even care!!!

I'm still kinda shaking from this show (or I might just be freezing) so I'll keep this short.

At one point when Ed was addressing the crowd and taking in OUR level of enthusiasm, he actually said "this is not normal".

This was my 3rd & last show of the tour, and I didn't get any of the songs I was crossing my fingers for (smile, deep, all or none) but it was a solid amazing wonderful setlist and the experience of being in that room, on the GA floor with the energy pumping and however many thousand people erupting ....... it was surreal.

    Thank you.

    Fuck... Holy fuckin shit!

I have to Thank 2 People that were in the building with me tonight...
The 2 dudes near the soundboard, staff. Whom took my wife & 9 Year old son Matt, from section 4 row B and brought them, as a courtesy due to my sons height and impossibility to see anything at all, all the way the the far right (Stone Side Extreme) GA RAIL with wristbands and said "Enjoy the show, He should be up front"
This all took place during Evenflow, as I watched on!! My wife had no clue I saw this taking place from my section where I sat with my other son in the wing.. Then she starts waving and all that and I say have a blast, screw you you lucky bitch, I wave to my son and they go..

As the setlist proceeds I get to watch this EPIC fucking show, AND my wife & youngest son rock the rail together throughout! :)
Then came the end.... And they blew us away with one of MY family's favs, Fuckin Up. Place is jumpin, Band is kicking fucking ass, and I still got my right eye on my wife and son.. And then, there was Eddie, whom I just could have sworn I saw take a double take at my son... And sure as shit he did.. Dances on over, hops on that big as speaker or whatever that was over on the far right, points out my son (at this point I'm totally going BANANAS watching it all go down in sec 117!) and clears it for him to get something to him.. Then, tosses his new Batmobile picks (collector dad, uh oh!), and I then see my son smiling ear to ear, picks in hand and people around him trying to steal em, HA! My wife ain't just hot, that bitch can breathe fire so I wasn't worried a bit... Then Ed goes off, slinging tambourines and whatever else and I am ELATED! Super dad from afar! His older brother, the one sitting with me.. just as proud. Rocking out, flipping out and just straight up being FREE, the look in his eyes for the pride he had in HIS baby brother.. You wanna talk about making a man cry!!? Holy shit I damn near lost it!! Thank God Fuckin Up was playing! Haha

Then Indifference started... My kids took in their first ever witnessing of the closing of a PJ gig, and EPIC one at that, and then Ed gets his eyes on my kid again, my wife waves and says "Thank you" towards Ed. He then nodded her way to get to Matt (my son) and tosses down a setlist and security makes sure he got it :)

To say that tonight, was Epic. For me, would be an EXTREME understatement!! For everyone else, it was just Epic.

This was a highlight of my LIFE! My kids first gig, the INCREDIBLE setlist, my son getting to experience PJ in a way I have never even thought would happen, sitting with my first born son and taking this all in together, being me with my son and my son being HIM with ME!

That's it for now.. Gotta try to sleep. All in all.. Major thank you to the 2 Staff that upgraded my wife and son, and escorted them right to the rail..

  • 5 hours to Hartford from Brooklyn and 3.5 hours back...all worth it!

Had a pretty cool view from behind the stage, if these type of tickets become available to you I suggest no passing them up! The crowd was by far the loudest and most enthusiastic that I've heard over the past week (more energy than Brooklyn 1 and slightly more than Brooklyn 2)

    Highlights for me:

    Come Back

    Immortality

    Eruption/Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNdpOSj81MQ

Eddie's emotional talk about the sandy hook elementary school tragedy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEDUERnILQM

    Crazy Mary! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kjrSyifzA0

Went to 3 shows over the past week, my rankings:

    1-Brooklyn 2
    2-Hartford
    3-Brooklyn 1
  • Hours later, finally home and my ears are still ringing.

After 20 years of listening, this was my first time actually making it to a show, and I couldn't have asked for a better one. The energy was incredible, the band seemed in great spirits (Eddie, especially, seemed so happy to be there and pleased with the crowd), and there were lots of nice little moments like singing happy birthday to Matt's son or Boom's son coming on stage. Some personal stuff had me in a strange headspace going into the show and threatened to cast a shadow over the whole night, but it was a perfect escape for a few hours. The only thing that would have made it better would have been to share the experience with my brother, the true PJ obsessive of the family.

I was near the front of section 109, dead center behind the stage. I was pretty wary about the location going in, but the second I opened the doors at the top of the section, I was blown away by how good my seat was going to be. So close to the stage and a really unique perspective on the show. I went in expecting the usual one song for the behind the stage crowd (so glad it was Small Town instead of Last Kiss!), but I loved how they acknowledged us pretty consistently throughout the show, with Eddie and Mike making a couple trips back to say hi and Matt turning around to wave every so often. Loved the energy in my immediate area. I went to a Fleetwood Mac show earlier this year where people (myself included!) were getting yelled at for having the nerve to even occasionally stand during the concert, so it was refreshing to be surrounded by people who were not just getting into the show but were laid back enough to not mind those who were really rocking out. Made me a lot less self-conscious about whatever low-key rocking I did!

What I'll really keep with me are those moments where the entire arena is singing or shouting together and that amazing sense of unity. I don't know if it's like this at every show, but it's like nothing I've ever experienced before and I can't wait to feel it again.

Oh, and I meant to say bye to the woman sitting next to me, but when the guys finally left the stage I was in a daze and just absentmindedly shuffled out of there. So, on the off chance you read this, Anna(?) from NY -- nice chatting with you before the show!

Here are two shots from back there. Figured someone might want to try to pick themselves out from the GA crowd:

Best crowd I ever was part of. The first encore was absolutely insane. Was about 15 feet from stage and everyone in GA was awesome around me.
