How are the GA floor tickets going so far?

The last show I went to was Wrigley, and I know that when you had GA ticktes there was a line and you got a number on your had according to first come first serve. Is that the routine for these shows as well? I am going to the OKC show and I want to know how early I need to plan on getting there. I'm so excited!!!

So, what happens after they write the number down on your hand?

If you arrive at 9am, and they write a number on your hand... now what? Can you leave and come back and this puts you in the front of the line?
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

You know, I'm not too sure. Thats just what I observed happening. I didn't see anyone leaving the line once they were numbered. And I could be wrong, that could have been for a totally different thing, but I was pretty sure it was for GA.

One woman on the train out of Brooklyn had a low number on her hand and a wristband. She said she got on line at like 9am, and I think she said she stayed there all day. Maybe its just to keep the line in order in case people need to take a bathroom break, but that they are still active in the line. But that's just a guess.

Thank you! I think you're probably right. Looks like its going to be another long day! Can't be any worse than the merch lines at the Wrigley show though. I feel like since I did that, I can conquer anything!

  • I had two GA seats for the Worcester 2 show. Had to work all day so we didn't get there till like 5:45 pm. Line was long, but folks were cool. Opened the doors at 6 and we were inside in no time at all. We ended up dead center in front of Ed like 7 people back from the barrier...couldn't believe we were so close for arriving so late to the DCU Center. Didn't see or hear anything about people's hands being numbered. Good luck!

  • I had GA for the Buffalo show and didn't need a number on my hand, and got right up to the stage. We all had wrist bands that were given to us when we picked up our ticket, and there was a decent line waiting for the doors to open. My wife and I went for drinks at a nearby pub till the doors opened, found ourselves at the back of the big line to get in, when magically a guard whisked a few hundred of us at the back of the line to another gate, and within moments found ourselves at the front of the stage! Enjoy the show!

I don't believe it could be this easy. I am sneaking into the venue the night before the show just to make sure I am front and center.

I don't understand why anyone would line up all day. These aren't entire floor GA sections (based on pictures). It appears you can show up at showtime and be pretty darn close.

I prefer to hang toward the back of the GA sections anyway. I'm too old to push and shove at the front.

If thats true then good, because I for sure don't want to have to be there all day. And you sound just like my sister :) But this is her 10th show or something like that, and its only my second, so I want to be closer! But I'll settle for close. I'm just so excited for it either way.

Exactly. Most pics I've seen of the crowds so far have the first 1/3 or so of the floor dedicated to the GA folk.
I have GA for the Phoenix show. I have no intention of waiting in any line. Even if I'm the last row GA, it's still better than any "seats" I've had before at a PJ show (~12-13 shows).
Annnnnnd, you don't have to worry about losing your spot if you gotta take a leak or grab another beer!

No reason to push and shove. Unless you are one of the lucky 55+ show groupies, you're going to see the show from a perspective you have never enjoyed before! Enjoy the show. Don't worry about being 5-10 feet one way or another.

I plan on it! I know its going to be amazing. To have the Wrigley show as my first show totally blew me away. Now to see them come here to OKC right down the street (basically) from me, will be another experience that I know will be outstanding!

Someone tweeted that the difference between getting to Brooklyn at 6am vs 6pm was ten feet of floor space. This augers well for Calgary and Spokane. ;)

It looks like the entire pit only goes about 15 or 20 deep, at most. At least half of those with GA tix will likely just arrive at or after doors opening (even later if there is an opener in Leg 2!). So if you don't line up at all, I'm guessing the worst you could possibly do is be maybe 8 deep. Which is pretty fucking close.

That's outstanding. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. I'm curious as to how the OKC show is going to go. I mean its Oklahoma. I didn't even expect them to make a stop here! But I did see Ed's solo tour up in Tulsa, OK last November, and he extended it one more night because of the demand of the tickets! That really surprised me. Anyways, I know its going to be wonderful. I just can't wait.

Fight the urge to stand in line all day. Go to the Wishlist preparty, have some drinks, meet some cool people and relax. Wherever you end up on the floor is going to be awesome. That's what I'm going to do. See ya in OKC!

That is officially the plan! I'm glad I asked! I really thought I'd have to stand in line all day! The other plan sounds much better! My sister and I are for sure heading to the Wishlist preparty! See you there! :)

  • I had GA's in buffalo, went to the pre-party and then another bar. Arrived at the show shortly after 7 and was 10 people back dead centre. Everyone was cool and I went for a few beers and bathroom breaks and went right back to my spot on the floor.

I will be doing the same thing in LA.

    Cheers
