This song is bad ass
Oh dear dad
Can you see me now
I am myself
Like you somehow
I'll ride the wave
Where it takes me
I'll hold the pain
Release me

    Agree 100%.

This song jumped out immeditately during my first spin through the album a week ago or so.

They opened both Pittsburgh and Buffalo with it....which to me means they feel as strongly about it as we do.

Odd though and interesting that it is a 'Backspacer Holdover'.

I am not saying that it is necessarily my favorite on this new album but it is an instant classic.

It's not my favourite song on the record but it's definitely awesome. Agree with this comment though, I loved hearing it in Pittsburgh, was pretty caught of guard to hear it again in Buffalo, but at least it was still a surprise. It would be disappointing for other shows to know what first song's coming.

Love this song. But do agree it would suck if it opened all shows. No element of surprise there at all. Plus I still need to hear Release at some point.

Loved it since the first listen, that was the point when listening to the record for the first time that I knew this was the best record PJ has released in a long while, Yellow Moon was just icing on the cake (I had already heard LTRP and Swallowed Whole).

It was insanely awesome as an opener, I called it in Pitt but my uncle kept saying no way, when Mike came out with the bow I knew I had to be right because I never remember seeing him with a bow.

It feels like they are almost using it as their intro music. Instead of walking out to recorded music, they are playing their own walk-on music. ... If that's the case, can still follow it with traditional openers, I think.

    I think.

    I think.

They've done that so far with Of the Girl and Sometimes following.

I just hope they don't start with 3-4 slow songs every show. I'm sure they'll mix it up. The crowd was loud when the band came on stage in Buffalo and ready for takeoff, and every once in a while it is cool to throw a Go or Animal at the beginning. Ed knows the winning formula though just about every night.

Hands down my favorite track! Jumped out immediately upon first listen, and it's been on repeat more than any other LB track. Would love to hear this open in SD or LA1 or 2!

I love it! Great opener too. Seems part Indifference, part All Or None with a hint of Philip Glass. Anyone watched Koyaanisqatsi? Would fit into the opening part of that movie really well. That "Easy left me a long time ago" line gives me the same chills I got from my first listens of Release and Indifference. Top form and one of the best songs they've done since Riot Act. 10/10

When I listened to LB the first time, Pendulum is the only song for which I stopped everything else I was doing so I could pay attention. It's amazing.

This song is becoming one of my favorites. It's amazing to watch Eddie sing it. I love the way he uses his hands, he's so expressive it's hypnotic. Check out VideoGremmie's videos on YouTube

I did the exact same thing. Incredible song musically and lyrically. Every time PJ releases a new record there always seems to be one song that was written just for me (I'm sure other people have this same experience) and this is the song this time around. My family is going through hard times right now. It's nothing we won't get through and this song will definitely help.
